Fist pair of cycling shoes for me and I must say they're extremely comfy. I live in a very hot country and the mesh really permits my feet to breath but it doesn't take away from the stability of the shoe. Easy to slip on and off, although for some they might not tighten enough for a snug fit but for me that's fine as I'm just getting used to being clipped onto my pedals and if I can slip my foot out of the shoe in case of an emergency, much better! I did order up as all the other reviews mentioned, thank god for that! I'm usually a 38 (8USA) and ordered a 41 and they fit perfectly.

The mesh has no cloth backing to keep dirt out. You shoes will be full of dirt the second you hit any. Also, the heel is a strange fit. Lots of rubbing up and down. The heel does not stay put, partially because of the sole being so stiff, the shape of the heel does not seem right, and the tie ups don' t allow a tight fit. They only come with four colors, but we made some extra colors from card stock and had them laminated at Staples for pretty cheap. Now she can match all of her favorite work-out outfits. These shoes are comfortable out of the box and unlike some shoes made to wear barefoot, you can easily slip these shoes on and the laces pull tight without much effort. They are 'tongueless' and I think that is why these are so comfortable...your feet nest in the shoe comfortably the interior is lined so there are no rough spots to cause blisters. The arch support is good and the shoe has nice padding despite the light weight.
Also, despite them being called 'winter' shoes, they don't seem to be any different from most running shoes.

My son put these on the day they arrived and said they were comfortable immediately, no breaking in time. Also, when something is acceptable to a 14 year old, you can assume the they look good. This is a very comfortable shoe. I only run short distances (5-10k) and anywhere from 20-30 miles a week. I find them very light and great to run on all surfaces. I'm not sure about the life expectancy because I've only been using them for a short time, but I'm planning on ordering a couple more pairs. Really molds the feet too. I was having terrible pain in my right foot due to over-pronation and just from wearing cheap shoes in general. After a few weeks of wearing these, my foot is pain free! And I'm a healthcare worker who is on their feet 12 hours straight-these shoes make it a breeze. And I get tons of compliments on these everywhere I go. Will definitely buy again!

Saucony Women's Cohesion 6 Running Shoe Review
My feet supinate (roll out) when running, causing plantar fasciitis and shin splints from time to time. In doing research, Saucony Cohesion 6 running shoes were one type recommended for supinators...and so far, so good!
I have not been successful until now in finding a running shoe that relieves my shin splints, ankle and knee pain all at once! They fit perfectly and are nice and airy and light. I loved them the way they were the moment I first wore them, but when I paired them with brand new sport socks, I was tickled pink. An even greater improvement was replacing the soles with my doctor prescribed orthotics. I now can see a lot of jogging/running in my future.
I wish Saucony would not REMOVE cushion and comfort from the shoes. Bring back the cushiony insole, Saucony!

Love these. Was searching for the Grid Cohesion 5s that I usually buy every 2 months (replace your shoes after 300 miles!) ... and found these upgrades. Per my podiatrist, the shoe is structurally identical to the Grid Cohesion 5, as explained by Saucony; they just dropped the "Grid" and updated the colors, hence the "6". I train for half and full marathon trail races in these with a bulging L5 and high arched feet -no complaints. My feet are well cushioned ... and I haven't had shin splints since my podiatrist turned me on to them 3 years ago. Not only are these shoes stylish, but they are the reason that I can run today :-)! My attitude towards running has always been "If I'm running, you had better run too because there's a bear chasing me!" Because I'm heavy and running hurts everywhere! Well, now I have lost 30 lbs and actually want to run to step up my game. The Cohesion 6 is missing the bouncy cushion in the heel that the Cohesion 5 had. If you remove the removable sole, the Cohesion 5 has a round raised pad with wedges and the sole is 2 pieces glued together. The Cohesion 6 is one piece of seemingly different material which is no where near as cushiony as the Cohesion 5, leaving the shoe feeling less supportive, less comfortable and less cushiony. Looking at the Saucony website, the weight of the 6 is 1.3 oz. less than the 5, so something is different in the new shoe, maybe a thinner insole.I wish Saucony would not REMOVE cushion and comfort from the shoes. Bring back the cushiony insole, Saucony!

I'm a huge fan of Saucony and will continue with their running shoes; however, not these. Needs A LOT more cushion! Runners take a beating so I'm not sure why every Saucony shoe doesn't have a lot of cushion, especially in the forefoot area.

My job keeps me on my feet for many hours. I have tried other shoes and Nike Shox are the only ones that I have been satisfied with. This shoe is gorgeous, but has very little heel support, or motion control.
If you're looking for a shoe with those qualities, this is not the shoe for you.
That said, for racing (at least 5K through ten mile) it is a great shoe!
It can, thought, be a little uncomfortable for running on rainy days, since it is designed to help ventilation and, therefore, it lets a bit of water in.

I have worn ASCIS for over 20 years. Gel Lyte 2's size 9. I got these and my toes are jammed in the front horribly. The sole of the shoe has "breathable" holes in it, 6 of them. So when you step in a puddle when you are running or run on wet grass the entire base of your foot gets soak and wet! Not good for runners. Not good for anyone. I've owned many ASICS shoes and can say these guys run about a half size small. I'm pretty sure they're meant to be worn without socks but that doesn't really work for me. Discount New Balance Women's WR1226 Running NBX Shoe
If you're in the "Athena" category of women runners, this is an excellent running shoe for you. Most women's running shoes are designed to support a weight of no more than about 140-150 pounds. If you're over that weight (like a great percentage of the American public, since the US average female weight is 163 lbs!), then you'll want a shoe that is built a bit tougher. The stability design of this shoe, combined with the superb cushioning, makes it just about perfect.
I wrote the previous statement about the 1224's and this new model, the 1226, lives up to that and more. the shoes have held up well, but don't feel bulky like many stability shoes do. My feet breathe easily while running, and I have noticed less knee pain after long runs.
The only drawback I noticed was that there was a break-in period required, which typically I don't experience with NB shoes. I had a few hot spots the first week after any runs over 4 miles, but with a little Body Glide under my socks the problem quickly resolved itself. I'll be purchasing a second pair to rotate through.
My only complaint: I get about 9 months of daily wear before the structure support in the heel compresses and/or breaks down internally. Shoe still looks great externally, but the lateral support is significantly weakened.
Nevertheless, I'll be buying another pair in 8 monthsI've tried Nike, Reebok, Asics, and Brooks.... and you just can't beat this shoe.

I wear these shoes every day with my orthotics: for work, the gym, and casually around the house. I bought the NB1226's as a replacement to a pair of NB1224's (which I would rate a 6 stars out of 5 if I could!) The 1226's don't seem as well cushioned as the 1224's but still an excellent value for what I paid on Amazon.com. Always searching for the perfect running shoe. This one comes close. After most of my long runs my feet always tend to ache, this shoe puts less stress on the balls of my feet, so my feet are feeling less tired. The only issue I had was they tended to rub on my ankle a bit, but they really arn't broken in yet. I hope this issue will be resolved after I log some miles.
Review of Mizuno Women's Wave Elixir 8 Running Shoe
I never had a pair of Mizunos before so I decided to try this pair out. To my liking, the color was exactly like the photo. I did however need to return the first pair as the sizing seems to run a bit small. After wearing them one time I can say that I am a fan. They are very light and comfortable. I do lots of cross training and I can say that these are the right shoes for me. I usually have foot pain during workouts, but with this shoe it has not happened. I will be buying another pair.
These are my go to shoes. I wear them happily for 10k and marathon distance. They are light, great cushioning, and have a reasonable heel drop. Not overly clunky like some of the Asics, but enough of a heel that you don't feel minimalist.
I have worn the Inspires (a bit more cushioning, but heavier, larger heel), and have tried the Sayonara, which is the shoes that the peeps at Mizuno have chosen to REPLACE my beloved Elixer. The Sayonara has a lower heel, and makes me feel like my feet are slapping, and give me shin splints. Despite the rave reviews for the Sayonara, I am an Elixir girl.
Great shoe. You won't be disappointed. Mizuno--if you are listening, keep this shoe!

I've been in Mizuno's for years but this is my first time buying the Elixir. I'm very impressed so far. The shoe is very light weight, breathable, fits my narrow foot well with just enough room in the toe box. The shoe also offers support for mild to moderate pronation. Overall a really nice shoe. My husband and kids think it's the coolest looking running shoe they've ever seen and wish it came in their size. I agree. Just the right amount of support but without the weight. Ran 21 miles in these on the 2nd wear and loved them!
