Trekking in the Venezuelan Andes and La Gran Sabana is my favorite time. My left ankle got twisted a couple of times with my previous shoes, so I decided to try the Teva. It was a good change, and I feel the comfort of this new pair, and its resistance to sandy/stony paths. Remember to buy yours a half size bigger than daily shoes.

Im very pleased with the purchase of these shoes, they feel great, look decent, and most importantly, tough! I work around wooden pallets and pallet jacks often, and water plants and etc often. These shoes have proven to be quite waterproof, and very durable. Some of the guys at work wear rubber mud shoes when pressure washing the patio on our work, and it makes me feel kinda nice inside to know I can remain comfy and dry in my relatively athletic shoe.

Toughness wise, they have a very durable rubber front toe gaurd type thing, that wraps around the front toe area. This protected me particularly today, when I couldnt stop a pallet with around 1 ton(literally a ton) of dirt piled on it, and the main wheel of the jack ran on top of my big toe area. If I was in my normal shoes this would have certainly been excruciating, if not given me a broken toe. In these shoes, it merely scuffed the front rubber, and essentially scooted my foot back inside the shoe, keeping my toes safe. This given with the fact that I managed to accidentally kick the drop hitch of a friends truck, which again would have hurt a good amount in my old shoes, with these I literally just felt the thud as it hit the back of the shoe(which has a hard/flexible plastic on the heel).

The only thing i dislike about these shoes, is because of the tread pattern, when wet on a smooth surface, these things have a bit less traction than normal shoes. However this is more than worth the amount of traction on dry surfaces.

Overall im very happy with these comfy, good looking, tough, and waterproof shoes. And will definately consider the Teva name again in future purchases.

The shoe is everything it is supposed to be; light weight, rugged, breathes well and has plenty of grip. Remember to order !/2 size larger for a hiking. I have bought a second pair (on sale) for when the original pair wears out.

These are great shoes! Very comfortable from the start. I work part time as a Park Ranger and have put many miles on these shoes. They do not show any wear, stress or cracks.

Other reviewers suggest that you buy 1/2 size larger than your regular size. They are 100% correct.

The only small drawback are the shoe strings. I couldn't keep them tight. They would start to loosen the moment they hit the ground. Replacing the shoe laces solved the problem immediately. Be sure to order some quality laces when you order these terrific hiking shoes!
