I chose these boots because of the past experience I have had with "Jump" boots. When i was in the military we used to use Jump(or Jungle) boots all the time. The craftsmanship of these boots appaers nothing less than superb. The side strap buckles are a new addition though. I used them to tighten up the grip/support they have on my ankle joints. I am currently in a job where you have to be constantly mobile, and may have to take off running a quarter mile with no notice. I needed a boot that was tough, durable, comfortable, and would look professional when worn with a uniform. These boots have answered all of those requirements.
PROS: Good construction, side-zip, spit shineable, nice quality leather, breathable canvas, sturdy treads.
THE ONLY DOWNSIDE I HAVE FOUND: They are a little thin compared to most other combat boots in terms of the toe. If you have really wide feet, I would suggest something else, as I have not found these sold in a Wide on this site.

I purchased these boots for my brother, for an early Christmas present. He is hard to shop for because he demands quality, practicability, and style. We have been having a pretty bad winter and he need boots that he could wear to the office.
These boots are great. They cover up to maybe mid-calf, so you can tuck your pants in and pull them out to cover. My brother has had them for over a month and we have had a good 20 inches of snow during that time. His boots still look as good as new. He say they are the most comfortable boots he has ever own and they make him look like a fashion model, lol.
The boots have some sort of soft coating on the inside to keep your feet warm and dry. The soles are pretty heavy duty. The boots have a side zipper that makes it easy to get in and out of them. The buckle around the ankle can be adjusted to make them tighter or just as a fashion statement.
Overall I would definitely recommend, the price is a little high but the boots are sturdy. My brother is kind of hard on shoes and I can estimate these boots will last him at least 3 years.

I love this boots but if I had to say just one con about this product is that
the color of this item is listed as coal, whih should be in grey but a brown boots came.
When I saw the wrong color shipped, i was like what the f%*^ but now but I don't care anymore cus I'm loving this color.
I get many compliments and attention with these.

Ok so what I really wanted to give this boot was a 4.5 stars. The boot is very comfortable like some sports shoes except the sole is a bit soft that you can feel gravel sometimes but its already very light itself. For me there was no break in time maybe because my last boot always hurt at the heel. The zipper feels solid and the padding makes it feel great even with ankle socks and I haven't had issues with ventilation so far. Right now Louisiana weather is all over the place so the boots are doing great.
What I didn't like about the boot was the belt. If you like to make it a tight fit the latch will undo itself most of the time while walking. The loops on the back are sometimes hard to put the metal tip through if you do like keeping the belt on as it will slip if you don't lock it after loosening it.
The next thing I wasn't very happy with is the material they used over the toe. I think it's PU Leather. Either way it scuffed too easily. If they could use something more resistant it would be nice. Hopefully these scuffs can be buffed out with some shoe polish. :
