This shoe is great! I first bought a pair for my boyfriend and when I tried his on I fell in love with them and had to buy a pair for myself. I bought it for riding on a jet ski and taking my dog to the dog beach. The water drains out quickly keeping feet comfortable while protecting them from unseen objects in the water. The shoe is very light weight and comfortable and fit true to size.

I had a similar pair of water sport shoes from New Balance that lasted through four years of (six days a week) water aerobics. When they finally fell apart, I saw that NB had discontinued that type of shoe and introduced this one, slightly cheaper.

First, the construction and fabric are not the high quality I'd expected based on my previous pair of shoes. There's no way that this shoe would last for four years.

Second, I wear a 10B. These shoes looked too small, and when I tried to fit my smaller foot into the shoe, it simply would not fit. I took the shoes to a local shoe repair store, and they said that my "10B" shoe was more like an 8N.

The shoe looked like it would drain quickly and thoroughly, and would provide good stability in a pool. You might want to order a size up.

This is my second pair of sneaker-like water shoes for water aerobics. The previous pair were Speedos, they were fine, but eventually the outside started flaking off. I replaced them with these New Balance because I have recently switched to NB sneakers. The water shoes run large and I had to send them back for a smaller size. But now I love them. They dry overnight, while my Speedos took many days to dry. They feel great in the water. Easy to get on and off. Too soon to tell about durability.

Just what I was needing, very light weight and drain water quickly. I suggest ordering 1/2 size larger but I am able to wear these. I have a very narrow foot and could not find any narrow sizes in a water shoe but this one does allow you to tighten up width very well. I wear a very thin sockett because I have tender feet and there is no cushioning but since it is a lace shoe I do have some support for my arch and ankles. Very happy I bought these.
