The Sole Runner is a outstanding minimalist shoe. The ground feel is superb and so far after ten days and about fifty miles of walking I will say that it was a great purchase. I've been wanting a pair of these ever since finding out about them late last year. I hunted up and down for the Feelmax Niesa shoe but never could find any in stock. After a couple of years I gave up. Finding out about the Sole Runner FX Trainer on toesalad last year really had my hopes up for something similar to the Feelmax. Having no distributers in the US was a huge disappointment since the shipping costs from Germany were just too much for me to justify. Earlier this year I found out that that Sole Runner was planning to be sold in the US. I was very excited. As soon as I found out that Amazon had them, the purchase was made within seconds and with Prime, it was even a sweeter deal.

The shoes do run a little big. I usually wear a 45 in Vivobarefoot shoes (46 in their boots) and 45's in FiveFingers. 45's in the Sole Runner, while barefoot, run just a tad bigger than the Vivobarefoot, however, that isn't a bad thing. I tend to not wear socks in the summer and wool socks in the winter. The 45's are working out to be the best of both worlds. This size has been very comfortable without socks and testing them with thicker socks, they work great. If you only care about summer and want a really snug fit then a size down might be worth a look. For me, I'm happy with 45. The toebox is nice and roomy making the toes happy. Zero blisters too. The tongue tends to migrate to one side from time to time if I don't have them laced really tight. The tongue is also a little scratchy on the upper portion of my foot when barefoot but nothing that is uncomfortable. I hardly notice it anymore.

Breathability is really good. Small puddles are not a problem but anything over a inch deep and you'll get wet. Drying time is pretty good. Traction... so far I haven't had any issues with WALKING/Hiking on dirt or rocky trails meaning my feet stay where I want them to be. Running should be similar unless you get into really steep or fast descents. Wet rock, mud, ice, or snow, don't expect any traction. Rain on streets shouldn't be a problem unless you hit oil slicks.

Overall I'm giving these a five star rating. The construction at first appeared to be very durable and after fifty miles they show no signs of failing. If you are used to very thin soles then I think these shoes are the bomb. If you are just getting into the barefoot feel then these are great shoes but you really need to take it slow. I've been wearing Vibram Five Fingers since 2006 and over the past couple of years have been wearing Vivobarefoot shoes almost exclusively. These shoes, in my opinion, have better ground feel than any of the VFF or VB lines right now. They also look great! Mine came with both red and black shoestrings which was a pleasant surprise.

I would like to request that Amazon start carrying the orange/black color and also look into the FX Trainer as well. I'll make both purchases if you start stocking them.

This is probably one of the most minimal shoe out in market right now. I have tried many different brands of barefoot/minimal shoes like Altra, Vivobarefoot, Skora, Inov8, Vibram but this shoes are real special. When I say special the ground feel is incredible only thing that comes close to this might be Softstar Shoes (moc3 the model name, made in US). I would say Altra Adam without insole and Feelmax Osama also has very similar ground feel. But this shoes is good looking and well made too. Interesting to see things are still manufactured in places other then Asian subcontinent.

I agree with other reviewer that add more models especially Sole runner Fx trainer and pure model to your catalog since that might give more visibility to your brand in North America and at same time more clients :-)
