Considering that these shoes are marketed as "all-terrain" and are supposed to appeal to the trail & mud crowd, they have a ton of shortcomings as trail shoes.1) They are heavy. As much as a 1/4 pound per shoe heavier than some of the other shoes I run trails in. Over distance, you can really feel the difference and they cause quicker fatigue.
2) The bulkiness makes them take on a TON of water/mud. Which is kind of defeating the purpose of being a trail shoe, right? They soak up water like a sponge any time I've tried them in wet conditions. Becomes super heavy and uncomfortable very quickly.
3) Running with them in heat is also tough. I just ran in them today when it was about 89 degrees outside, and I felt like my feet were on fire after about 3 miles. There's just so much fabric around your feet, and they don't breathe well. I've never felt anything close to that kind of temperature discomfort with any other running shoe.
4) I really haven't noticed any benefit in terms of grip. They do feel more stable than average when going down steep hills, which is quite nice.
But the weight makes them bad on uphills. And I find that compared to more low-profile shoes, I'm more prone to rolling my ankles a little bit in these because they're so high off the ground and you don't have the feeling of your feet coming in contact with the contour of the trail.
The one positive I will say for them is that they're extremely padded/cushiony and have awesome shock absorption. I would feel like I could run in them forever without any tiredness in my joints, if not for the other discomfort they cause due to weight and heat.
As someone who runs a few hundred miles on hiking trails every year, I've worn through a lot of shoes and have a pretty good feel for what works and what doesn't. These seem to fail pretty hardcore in most aspects for trail running.

I have always enjoyed reebok shoes, and after buying the zigtek shoes when they first came out, i was hooked. I decided this time I would try their other newest creation. At first they looked kind of odd, but they grew on me. They feel odd at first and a little small but after a couple of days, once they break in, they fit great. They also grip fine on a wet floor, even tile. The bottoms show no wear whatsoever, even after about a month of constant wear.Honest reviews on Reebok Men's ATV19 Running Shoe

I truly enjoy wearing the Reebok Men's ATV19 sneakers. They are very stylish and most importantly...extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate topurchase my next pair of sneakers from Reebook as long as the same quality is offered at a great price.V/r,
