The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because a seam on the inner part near the top can rub the wrong way if you don't lay the tongue flat and lace good. Overall, very minor issue. I work these shoes pretty hard and they hold up just great. I'm looking into my 4th pair now because eventually all things get discontinued and I do not want to be stuck without a pair.
Highly recommended.

My workout plan generally focuses on CrossFit types of workouts, but I still like to keep weekly longer (3-6 mile) and shorter sprint distance work in the plan. So I'm not training for marathons here. I wear New Balance Minimus for just about all workouts and even some of the shorter run stuff. I've always used the big, clunky, over-engineered running shoes for longer runs. I wanted to transition to a more minimalist shoe without going all the way. This shoe seems to meet that need for me. It provides some support but nothing like big clunky running shoes. Cushioning is light, but still there. Overall, they are quite comfortable and work great. So far, seem to be holding up well after about 4 months. But I only use them about once a week for a 5-6 miler, so don't know how they'd do for serious long distance folks. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for an intermediate between the classic running shoe bricks and extreme minimalist designs. One thing that is slightly annoying is the big gaps between the lugs tend to pick up a lot of rock if you run on trails or other such terrain.
