We are never disappointed with PediPed shoes. My son loves this shoe, along with the Jake sneaker. The collar and heel are nicely padded, the sole is very flexible, and the uppers are sewn tightly. This style has a great combo of the suede and leather-perfect for winter wear. My very active 4 y/o son plays hard, but he always outgrows his PediPeds before breaking them down... even while using them daily as tricycle brakes!

I bought this shoe for my just-turned-four year old daughter who likes having all black shoes. It's remarkably difficult that for young children! I was looking for the most flexible, minimalist shoe in her size. Pedipeds have worked well for us in the past, lasting well beyond the time when my daughter's feet outgrew them. The sole is very flexible under the ball of the foot. It's also fairly lightweight and easy to put on (the laces are purely decorative). It comes with a removable insert to increase the size a little for fast growing kids' feet which is great for increasing the life of the shoe. My only wish is that the heel were a bit flatter and more flexible.
