The suede is very soft (but stains easily as with all suede).
You can use these to dress up or dress down your outfit the shaft can be flipped up or down, so they can be used in the winter or fall. Probably too warm for spring or summer. The heel is just the right height.
I got these in a 5.5, I think they run small, but the suede will stretch a bit, so I'd suggest trying your size, and if it's too tight size up half a size.

These shoes are awesome --very comfortable, true to size and distinctive. I ordered the tan and I get a lot of compliments on them. Given the suede/suede heel, they really aren't for everyday use. After wearing them once the back of the heel got dirty and you could see where it was rubbing from my foot being angled to drive the car/hit the gas pedal. I treated them with Scotch Guard so hopefully that will help.

I have several pairs of sneakers and these are my favorite. Very very lightweight and my feet can breathe. Didn't realize such a difference until I put on a pair of my pumas!
