I purchased the Salomon Men's XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 GTX Trail Running Shoe Olive/Black/Moss shoes from Amazon on the recommendation of my son and was pleased with the comfort and the lacing system. I liked them so well I wanted a second pair. The Kalalau model (the liquor or the island?) looked more casual/everyday stylish, so I bought a pair. WOW, even more comfortable than the trail shoe. Same great lacing system, much lighter and have more of a business casual than trail warrior vibe. I prefer subtle colors in my footwear and the black/black/Detroit (when did Detroit become a color?) combination is quite a bit nicer in person than it looks in the picture.

These are the third pair of Salomon's I purchase and I could not be happier. These are not really running shoes but you could use them for that purpose if you are on a trip and have nothing else. Mostly, these Kalalaus are casual shoes that are featherlight and easy to walk in. They look great with both jeans and shorts.

Not as cushy as other Solomons i've owned, pretty stiff. Good quality and pretty light weight. They'll be more of an about town with jeans shoe for me, they'll do that well.

I bought a pair of these a month or so earlier and liked them so much I had to have another pair. These shoes are cushion-y without being sponge-y. When I first tried them on I thought there was no way they would give me the support I need for being on my feet and walking all day, but they do. These 2 pair of shoes have made every other shoe in my wardrobe obsolete. Both pair were sold and shipped by Amazon from ther KY fulfillment center and I got them in 3 days. I would give 6 stars if they had that many!

PS, beware of buying anything from Activeinstinct. I bought a pair of shoes from them through Amazon and I thought I would never get them. It took them 6 days just to ship. I didn't like the shoes and wanted to return them. Cost me 9 bucks! No free returns. You can usually sift thru the sellers and find someone better to buy from. They're in England and one of the emails I got from them said my stuff might be on a boat!

Fit good very light weight, very quite on hard floors,breathable material. no shoe laces perfect for quick exits lol. leave them wondering where and when you left.
