I did a lot of research before making the decision to purchase the Vibram fivefinger Speed. As a martial artist, I use a minimal shoe that I like, but they fall apart after a few months of use. So, I was looking for a minimal shoe that would last longer. I heard that these shoes are well made and that they tend to last. Since my feet are already accustomed to minimal shoes, I really didn't need the 'adjustment period', which is suggested, but I do agree with easing into it, if you are not accustomed. I have worked out in them 3 times now and am very pleased. I had read that if you are prone to shin splints (I am) that these will help tremendously with that. I can report that they do, no pain in my shins! Running is easier and I can go longer. They are so lightweight that it feels like I am just wearing soft socks around town! I feel like I'm cheating or something! I do not recommend wearing these without socks. I can do all of my kicks and the shoes are so light on my feet. After I take the shoes off, my feet feel great (which I am not used to. I usually have soreness in my feet most of the time). After working out in these shoes, I feel like I have had a foot therapy session and my feet fell like I am walking on clouds for the rest of the day. I can see how people become addicted to wearing these shoes. I really think they are the future of footwear. As far as fit is concerned, measure your foot carefully. I usually wear a women's 71/2 and my foot is 91/4 inches long, so I went with the 38. They are a perfect fit. Also, I ordered these on a Thursday afternoon, from the seller, and chose the Free 5-8 business day shipping. They arrived that Saturday afternoon! 'So pleased with the service.

However, there's a very small design issue with the materials along the back heel of the shoe. When you wear them, they squeak. The noise source is from the exposed inner sole against the outside reinforced plastic heel material. Instead of returning them, I removed the inner sole and applied a very small amount of vaseline to sort of "grease" the plastic heal to eliminate the friction between the plastic heel and inner soul.
Voilà, it worked!!!!
Now on to the current shoes. First and foremost, I'm not planning to use these as running shoes. I do have a pair of running shoes and they have a lot more cushioning and arch support than this pair does. And unless you can't afford to spend the extra $30-$40 for a really good pair of running shoes, I wouldn't recommend these for running. The lack of support will probably do more harm than good. That said, this pair of shoes is great for cross training or use at the gym while lifting, using the elliptical machines, or using the bikes. They're very durable and comfortable. And like I said earlier, when you're ready to retire these shoes from training use, they can be used as daily use sneakers for quite a while longer. Even though I wouldn't recommend them for running, I still give these shoes 4 stars simply because they're constructed really well, and if used for the proper functions, they can be a great pair of shoes that will exceed your expectations as far as comfort and durability are concerned.

I bought these shoes to work out in the gym. The pictures don't gives these shoes justice! I've gotten at least 10 random people asking me where I purchased them so they could too. Warning they run about 1/2 size smaller than other Adidas that I have purchased but did form up after a few workouts. So if you like a looser fit for casual then you will want to order a little larger than you normally would. During workouts and walking around these are very comfortable overall. I'll start this review by saying that I bought these shoes because I own an older pair of Adidas Bounce running shoes. I've owned that pair since 2008. I retired them from their gym shoes role about 2.5 years ago, but still wear them daily as sneakers. I have this same exact shoe in white that I bought years back (4+) and I have never had a better shoe for running. I am a big guy, 245+ and the treadmill can be a fat guys worst enemy but not with this shoe! I recommend for heavier guys that are super active.

This shoe fits small. I ordered my son the 11 as my 3 year old is currently wearing a 10. The 11's are the exact same size as his current 10's from DC. I have returned them and ordered a different model for the following reasons: Has normal laces instead of the elastic (No tie) laces that DC uses on many of their kids shoes. Secondly (Personal taste) I didn't like the x-large 'DC SHOE USA' logo that wraps around the bottom of the shoe.

I have tried other gym shoes, but none comes close. I have tried some other brands, but none stand up to 45 minutes on an elliptical like Nikes do. Hands down the best gym shoe with the best arch support. They do run a little narrow. I am female and always purchase wide or men's to get the width I need for my wide feet.

First, let me say that I'm not a cleats afficianado. I don't know what it's like to have a $200 set of cleats, and would never want to spend that much cash on such a thing. I love playing soccer, mainly in pickup games and the occasional organized team, but I'm far from professional.

The shoes were a little thin, and ran a little small. Unfortunately we had to use them anyways because of timing issues. My son got a blister after only an hour long practice. I would not recommend these to a friend.

I filtered my search to find stability shoes and found these among just a few choices. They are described as stability shoes, but they have one major flaw. There is no arch in these shoes.
Other minor flaws include the upper tongue. It is stifling with some pressure points.
As for what I like about the shoe, the material feels of good quality. The front part with the navy blue felt does not show scratch marks as with other shoes where a single stroke of the finger nail will leave a streak.

Ive just got these Lunarglide+ 3 and have used them for a week.
So far Ive used them at the gym once, a one hour walk, a 20min average running tempo in the treadmill and a 10 min fast tempo intervall on the treadmill, as well as 10 min or so on a crosstrainer. (Im about 5'10 175 pounds and exercice 2-4 times per week, normaly a mix of gym and cardio).
Positive: Feels very light, good support for pronation, good heal cushioning, fits snugly/well on the foot, very good looks (I think), overall comfortable, true to size (compared to what I usually wear)
Negative: Not good arch support (Ive got extremly high arches, for these I would need custom insoles), narrow in the toe-box (the outside of my two smalles toes falls on the edge of the insole), the cushioning in the front part of the shoes not as good as in the heals (compared to other shoes Ive used).
Verdict: Overall the shoes "feels" very nice, significantly lighter than my old ones, noticable when running especially. Should be good for moderate over pronators with reasonably narrow feet not needing too much arch support.

Discount New Balance Men's M2040 Running Shoe
I have always been a New Balance fan because I have very wide feet and they have wide widths in this and many of their other models. I have also been wearing the 990, 991, 993, etc. series of shoes for about 25 years and always loved them. I even got the NB 2002 model a year or so ago and it just did not feel that good, but I decided to give these NB 2040 a try anyway. I am glad I did because they fit wonderfully. I also got the new 990 model and they are nice but not up to the fit and comfort level of this 2040 model. They are easily the best shoes I have ever had and it is a bonus that they are made in the USA. They are expensive but I think they are worth it.

I own a shoe store, have for 43+ years. I carry all the "top shelf" items. This shoe doesn't look like it should be any better than hundreds of other items we carry, but it is !! From the moment you put them on you can really feel the comfort and support differences between these and the less expensive products. $250+ is a lot to pay, for that matter so is $150. My feet have quite a few miles on them, I started to think that I needed to realize after 60 years of walking etc. you WILL have some discomforts that no amount of money spent on footwear can relieve.......boy was I wrong. I'm a heavy runner; 220+ pounds and run 20-30 miles per week. New Balance is the ONLY shoe that I have found that protects my knees and provides total comfort during the run. The quality is everything you would expect from a USA manufactured shoe. Sure it's expensive and there may be another shoe out there that might provide comparable fit and comfort but I'm not looking. This is my 6th pair of NB's $250+ shoe and I'll continue to buy as long as I continue to realize the comfort and durability these shoes provide. Go NB!!! Go USA!!!

Good to get at least 1/2 size over yours. But it's still narrow and long. Still breaking mine in, and getting used to the fit, it's just different. Long narrow feet would be perfect. I think it's imitation or just cheap leather, but no problems so far.
These shoes look good, fitted me well and felt comfortable for walking in the street/office/home.
Within a few weeks 2-4 the stitching started to open up on the right hand side of the left shoe..this is not what I am accustomed to for Puma products in general and I am very disappointed, i do not think it is acceptable for non cheap shoes to degrade so quickly.
I will have to re-evaluate my loyalty unfortunately as this is not the first Puma footwear to disappoint.
Be sure to keep and eye on the shoes in first month so you can return them if you catch it soon enough.

I'm a fairly experienced runner, and my races of choice are full and half marathons. When I was starting out, I wore Gel Nimbus 13s, and they are bar-none the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. However, they're a little too heavy for long distances, and I tended to get muscle fatigue in my legs around 10+ miles. I bought the DS Trainer 18 because I read the reviews saying they were lighter than most of the other shoes, but more stable and supportive than a racing flat (DS Racer). I'd say that's a fair assessment. They're definitely lighter than the Gel Nimbus, but not as comfortable. The outer sole is narrower, which requires a truer gait. The inside toe box, however, is no more narrow.
Basically, buy these shoes if:
You are an experienced runner looking for something light-weight and durable to train and run long distance races.
Do not buy if:
You are a beginning runner get the Gel Nimbus or Gel Kayano instead.
The DS Trainer 18 has returned to the lean strong tradition and has regained its position as my favorite performance shoe.
The next step is test the high mileage training and racing performance of a full marathon.
