I have an incredibly painful foot condition called plantar fascitiis. It is the name of a ligament in your foot located in your heel and arch area. I could barely walk when I first got it and so had to use some foot products to aid my recovery. This one is probably the best and I've used a lot of aids. I've also been to Urgent Care, xrays and an orthopedic surgeon. This insole gives you the most support where you need it for this injury, right around the heel and the arch of the foot. It is higher on the arch end of the insole on the inner part of your foot, as it should be. I can wear flat shoes again with these inserts. I was stuck in super sneakers prior to finding these and the gel cushioned arch insert, which I've also reviewed. I doubt I will ever wear a pair of shoes again without inserting these into them. I got 2 packages on ebay for a total of 4 shoe inserts, which cost $19.00 with free shipping, no tax.

These are great inserts, but the description from this vendor says PACK OF TWO. THIS IS ONE PAIR. So this is not a discount on 2 sets of inserts, but a $7 markup on one pair.

These inserts are well made and durable. Anyone expecting instant relief from heel/plantar fasciitis pain by merely wearing these inserts (or any inserts/orthotics), however, will likely be disappointed. They are merely a very useful tool in an arsenal of simple and commonsense measures such as stretching and exercise of the foot, icing, and taping. There are plenty resources on the web and elsewhere concerning the best way to approach such treatments.

Over time, wearing good supportive shoes with inserts such as these coupled with aggressive application of other appropriate measures whenever we start to feel the pain returning should keep most of us pain free most of the time. That is probably the best we can hope for.

This makes the difference between walking relatively pain free, and walking over hot coals with nails embedded in my heel. [I have plantar fasciitis in one foot.)
