Shoes worked out great. You can adjust the straps to fit perfect and your foot stays in position without sliding around in the shoe. I would order a 1/2 size larger because of this feature which will give you the flexibility to achieve the perfect fit. It comes with a pair of socks that has a separator for the big toe. I used toe socks which I prefer overall (note you cannot use regular socks with these shoes). They were comfortable. I wore these going up and down a steep hill in semi-rough terrain over 3 days. It was very hot and my feet were soaked. The shoes dry quickly, but they were very smelly. This is my only negative.

I've completely missed the fact that this shoe has a "thong"-like feature in the toe-box. That was my fault and that was the reason I didn't send the shoes back. However, I am wrecking my brain trying to figure out the purpose of that toe separator. It is so ridiculously uncomfortable to hike down-hill with that thing digging between your toes. In addition, you can only use socks provided with the shoes. They look like a glove with a separate space for your big toe. I don't care for that as I like to use SmartWool PhD sucks when I hike.
Another strange thing I noticed is that because these are not lace-up shoes, they go up pretty high on your foot. After my first hike in these shoes, which was only about 2 hrs, I had big red bumps on top of my feet where the very top of the shoe ends. That didn't go away after 4 more hiking trips, so I don't think I'll be wearing them anymore.
One great thing about these shoes is they have a nice traction and you feel quite secure in them on uneven terrain.
All in all, the price for these shoes is great, but be aware of disadvantages.

would have preferred the ability to remove the toe separator built in to the shoe depending on my use of shoes. Look good, but need lighter socks to go with. Thanks for complimentary socks though. Nice surprise!

I dont think they made it clear, but these shoes have a strap the runs through the middle and goes in between your big toe and second toe (similar to a flip flop)makes wearing regular socks impossible, although they do give you a pair of socks that work with these. not sure how I feel about them yet. they are very light to wear, just not sure how they will perform on a hike

I have bought a six 71/2 in color orange which is half a size lager then my regular shoes size but it is still small and hard to put on. I will advise buying one size bigger than normal.
