I purchased these for my boyfriend who is a nurse. He works 13 hour shifts and was having problems with his ankles and legs hurting and the bottom of his feet. These shoes fit to size and are incredibly light. It took awhile to get used to the "flat" heel, but I enjoyed them for short runs. I wouldn't use them for long runs on hard surfaces because I don't think they have enough cushioning to protect the runner. For light workouts or treadmill work, they are perfect.

I think that for the price, this is a pretty good deal. All other running shoes that have the same price tag are not as good as this one. The sole is pretty soft and that provides extra cushioning while running, which might help to prevent shin splints. I have been using the shoes for about two weeks and I haven't had a problem with them. Also, I noticed that these shoes are wide at the toe cap, which provide more comfort than other running shoes that tend to be narrow.

The negative heel is reminiscent of the Earth shoes or Roots from the 70's. Unlike running shoes or even walkers which elevate the heel and push the toes into the toe box of the shoe putting pressure on the toes, this shoe stretches the calf and takes the pressure off.

I use those on a treadmill, running feels much softer than in my old adidas shoes. I have some knee and ankle problems from old injuries and even after 5 mile distance, knee doesn't remind me of itself. I'd recommend these shoes to anyone running on solid surfaces as gym floor, concrete or treadmills. And the top of the shoe is made of really thin materials you can feel some ventilation even as you walk.
