I have never had to write a review like this in the years that I have been purchasing on line but now it is time. I own this winder and it worked well for about a month and then began to slow down to the point it no longer works at all with either a light weight or heavier self winder. I have repeatedly attempted to get the company to stand behind their product to no avail. About two months ago they told me to wait for a week and I would receive a return authorization and would have to pay to ship it back east to get it repaired or replaced. After that I have been unable to get a response or hear back from them in any way. BAD COMPANY ! Amazon should remove them from their site.

I purchased this about a year ago. It was noisier than I expected but did the job. Last month it started making a noise like grinding metal and then just quit. Look elsewhere if you really need an automatic winder.

my wife bought this for me as a gift. after only a few months, it started acting up just as other reviews have indicated. I discovered this is not "handcrafted from oak hardwood veneer coated with 8 layers of high-gloss piano lacquer. Then each layer of lacquer is baked for 3 days before being sanded and polished by hand." It is cheap plastic. Avoid this purchase

I received this as an anniversary gift last November. It promptly died in Janurary. It won't even move anymore.

From looking at the other reviews I'm not the only one who has had one of these die on them.

Pretty, but now it's a paperweight, soon to be garbage.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and it stopped working after 5 months. Unfortunately, I did not see the earlier review that indicated the same problem as mine grinding noise at first, then it just quit.
