Review of Vibram FiveFingers Women's Alitza Shoes Black/Blue/Green

The Alitza is absolutely my favorite Vibram style! Not only are they exceptionally attractive, but they are extremely comfortable. I have a problem with a nerve on the underside of my feet around the ball area and extending behind the second and third toes. It's nearly impossible for me to walk on a hardwood floor, but the Alitza enables me to walk and exercise with no pain. I have been wearing Vibrams for at least three years and have accumulated around thirty pair. I love the stretch ribbon that crosses the top of this style. Aside from this beautiful blue and green pair, I have the dark purple, orchid and pink, black and gray, and solid black. I love these for yoga class, every day activities, low impact aerobics, and step class.

Ordered this item and received it today... I received a fake. As soon as I opened the package I noticed the colors were off. The ribbons and leather portions look much duller than the pictures. On trying them on I could tell that the material between the toes was not quite sitting right. It is bunchy and comes up onto the top portion of the toes. This is not my first pair of Vibrams, so I know the quality that the shoes are. After I got home, I looked at the picture, which shows a completely different material between the toes. I went to the Vibram website, and the weight of the shoes I received is less that the actual weight. I was very upset, as I paid $70 for them. I contacted Amazon and they processed a refund and had me reorder the shoes with free expedited shipping. I will update this review when I get the replacement pair. Hopefully this was a one off mistake and will be fixed with the new order.

I really like the color, materials, construction. Shipping was fast and packaging was good. Mistakenly, I didn't order the right size. I have other shoes that are size 37 and fit well. I really WANTED the shoes to fit, but after logging onto the Vibram FiveFingers website to see how the shoes should fit, I realized that the shoes weren't fitting properly. I couldn't see the 'toe jam stoppers' the little bit of rubber that protects the tips of the toes. I read over other reviews and Vibram's chart which recommends shoe sizes by name/style. I clearly ordered incorrectly. I will order this type of shoe again, and likely in more colors.

This is my second pair of Vibram Five Fingers and I love them but I was disappointed that soul on the toes pulled away from the top. I still wear them but my first pair didn't do this.
