This is my fourth pair of New Balance sneakers in the Minimus line. I love them. Use the sizing guide and order accordingly, rather than your normal shoe size, sneakers fit differently and you don't want running sneaks tight in the toe box. I am not overly fond of the current trend in sneakers that they all must come in fruit loop colors even the black ones have purple on them. Oy. However, ultimately, I run a lot of miles a week and the function of the shoe is most important to me, so the color is a side issue. (I'll be glad when the neons have run their course though, I admit.)
The Minimus line is awesome. Sock-like fit, I wear them without socks. The women's sole last is excellent for my feet. My toes can spread and hug the ground, but my feet are wrapped in a good fit with excellent shoe architecture. These are not meant to last forever they are meant to last through about one season of marathon-training intensity. If you don't run that much, they'll last you longer. The Minimus line is low drop, so if you aren't used to a lower platform, start slowly. Once you have deleloped your lower leg muscles accordingly, you can take them out for longer sessions. I wear these (4mm drop) and another pair that is a 0mm drop shoe, for different styles of run workouts, and I absolutely love how much more efficient my running is compared to three years ago, when I first started working on changing my form from the standard heel-strike to the midto forefoot strike.
Highly recommend the Minimus line and New Balance products in general. Great company. .

I gave it 4 stars only because I can't in good conscience give it 5 as a running shoe... because I haven't run in them yet. But walking about they are super comfy. I've been concentrating on a mid-foot strike, so there's no discomfort in the heel from the minimal sole. There is some arch support, which made me more comfortable making my first minimal sole purchase.
I'm generally not one to sport sneakers in what another reviewer referred to as "fruit loopy" colors, but I said what the heck, be bold! And I've gotten tons of compliments in the two days I've been wearing them even from total strangers!
I did size up a half size, but I won't hold that against the shoe because I often do go up a half size in running shoes. In a 9 my toes were hitting the front just standing.
I bought these to be everyday walkabout shoes, but I do plan to give them a whirl running since my new pair of [not cheap] old standbys finally left me with some plantar fasciitis and have too thick a heel for comfortable mid-foot strikes.
