I am in the Army so running is an everyday thing. Needless to say with age your body starts to wear down. I was starting to have hip, knee, and back pain. I was barely passing my PT (Physical Training) Test. I thought my military career was all but over because you can't stay in and not run. Not at 28 years old at least. I heard about these shoes and gave them a shot. Not only am I now passing my test but I have a better run time as well. These shoes absorb so much impact and propel you into an actual positive running stance. I will never own another pair of running shoes other than Spira. I strongly recommend these shoes to ANY runner.

I purchased my Stinger 2 shoes a couple of weeks ago, I have a stress fracture of my left heel so I need to be cautious of what kind of shoes I run with. These shoes are light very comfortable. I would recomend these shoes to anyone who needs to watch the impact to their feet.

Let's see I bought these shoes because I was in the Army and needed something to help me improve my run time. These shoes really helped me get a better run time. Although it was not all the shoe but it really help because I have flat feet. The wave springs are really awesome. It is one of the lightest shoes I have ever tried. This could be the greatest pair of shoes out in the market; sadly it falls under design flaws and lacks casual color choices. I bought the yellow one first; it was a great shoe. I ran with it 5-6 days a week, around 4 miles each day. The left shoe the wave spring came loose and was clinking and clanking around not too loud. The shoes also squeaked these problems started around 3-4 months. I bought another pair the gray/orange color on another website and it was great too till about 3 months when it develop a squeak in both shoes. I believe it's a design flaw in the bottom spring. I love the shoe but it is just not durable unless you can deal with the problems like squeaky shoes/spring coming loose and only run with it during races. These may seem minor to some but I like an all around shoe. Also the shoe insert came loose a lot when I ran with the second pair. I'm thinking about gluing it down. Like in the title not a trainer shoe, save it for race day!

This shoe will not make you run faster. Its design offers improvements over other shoes and makes running a better experience. The shock absorbency is the single greatest feature of the shoe. Buy this if you want superior shock absorbing properties in a very light weight shoe. If you are looking to magically run faster without putting in the proper training, you will be disappointed. My biggest complaint is that after a few uses, both shoes developed a squeak, with one shoe being even louder than the other. I took one star off because of this.

PROS:

o Very light weight

o Excellent cushioning, even if not the softest feel

o springs are barely felt by feet

o Sizing accurate

CONS:

o Both shoes are squeaky when walking or running, quite squeaky!

o Color choices (I am not a fan of loud colors and this is a ding on all running shoes of late)
