I've been running 120+ mi/month for the past 8 months or so and was fitted at a running store for the Ghost 5, which were a perfect pairing for me. I like a roomier toe box than most Nike shoes afford and have normal pronation with only minimal heel strike. The Ghost 5 lasted comfortably for about 450 miles and the Ghost 6 seem to have the same capability. For a moderately lightweight shoe, they have great cushioning suitable for long runs. I plan on using them for a few half marathons and full marathons this year. The only change from the Ghost 5 that I perceive is that they seem very slightly lighter than last years version, but I haven't weighed them to see. The difference is probably less than an ounce though, and probably not enough to purchase these over the Ghost 5's which have decreased in price now.
Update: I cycle through 3 or 4 pair of shoes so I've been using these for my long runs. They have 104 miles on them. On the Higdon plan I've just started hitting the double digits with the Ghost 6 and have decided that they're just not good enough for runs over 6 miles. About 6 miles in my ankles start to feel the shock of hitting the road and my feet tend to feel like they're not landing normally, almost jostling around. So, I'll be stocking up on the Ghost 5 over the next few months and hoping the Ghost 7 corrects this issue. I have to think that the midsole support that was removed this year has something to do with my issue. Still, for anyone training for a 5k that needs a bit of support, this may be the shoe for you.

I went to a true shoe store to be fitted for a good pair of running shoes. They pointed out I was wearing a 1/2 size to small. The price is the same here as at the store, I suspect Brooks fixes the price. I absolutely love these shoes. The price is 50% more than the junk you buy at big box sports stores but it is well worth it! If you know you need a neutral shoe with 'normal' support, than this is the shoe for you!

I just bought these a few days ago but have already run a 5k and walked a lot. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Great heal support/roll on the lead foot and plenty of room around the toes. Also the front arch seems to help provide less pressure on the rear foot.
