Bought it for my wife for Valentine's Day. She uses on a treadmill and likes it. After weather got better she went out running and called me at work and said she "loved" her new shoes. Besides skiing, I first came across Salomons during a trip to China. Having ruptured both of my achilles, finding a comfortable shoe is paramount. I now have Salomon winter boots, GoreTex shoes (4 years old), and a new pair of running shoes. All were excellent purchases!

These are the first Salomon shoes I have bought. I was attracted by the lacing system, and I tried some Salomons at REI (the Comp model) and they were comfortable. I then bought these because they were advertised as lighter and breathable.

They are both. The mesh makes running in hot weather fine, and I like the support. At first the padding in the shoe (arch support and at the heel) felt a little weird but if I put on my old shoes now, I can't imagine having gone without it. When these wear out, I will definitely consider repurchasing.
