I work in a warehouse so pallets and boxes with concrete flooring. A crazy amount of walking is also involved. These shoes, although light and comfortable, were neither slip resistant or work sturdy. Constant use of concrete floors make them very slippery and these shoes let me down a few times. Mostly while pivoting and during quickened pace jaunts through the warehouse. Four months of ownership and I have almost walked through the toe portion on the bottom and through the inside soles. I am disappointed how fast they gained scratches that can't be buffed out as well. Being a supervisor I need shoes I can work in and look decent, these shoes were not it.

I work up to 9 hours in a high paced restaurant, and these have been very solid and comfortable. I've tried slip resistant shoes ranging from the cheap Walmart brand, up to Shoes For Crews. They are just as comfortable as SFC, and priced comparably. I haven't had to buy inserts for them yet, and I've had them for about two weeks now.

I'm opening a bakery and need some good shoes. I ordered these and tried them on. They are extremely cushioned in the footbed and felt amazing there! BUT I couldn't get past the fact that the front of the shoe curls upward which is really uncomfortable on my toes and makes me feel like I'm a little off balance. If Sketchers would fix that I would totally buy these, but I'm going to have to return them.

ASICS Men's GEL-Kahana 6 Trail Running Shoe Review

I am a beginning runner who has some issues w/ over pronation of one foot due to leg length discrepancy. So far, I am feeling more stability in these shoes than in my previous shoes, and they seem more durable than others I have purchased. I do wear a lift in my left shoe, and there was enough room in these shoes to accommodate the orthotic w/out issues.

These shoes DO run small and narrow, so take that into account when you order. I took a full size larger in these shoes than in some others. I also have narrow feet, and think someone with average or wide feet would need a wider version of this shoe.

If you use these on the road at higher mileage, you might want to add a thin gel insole to add a bit more cushion, but otherwise, I honestly think that they are just as suitable for the road as for the trails. I especially like their traction on wet pavement. They also have a good bit of flexibility in the sole, which is a problem w/ some trail shoes, but not with these. In fact, I didn't even realize that they were trail shoes when I bought them! I am very happy with these shoes so far, and plan to purchase more when I wear these out.

Very comfortable. I would not use on road surfaces, but the support on trails is what it should be. I ran ten miles with them right out of the box on a very rocky, sometimes steep trail. I had no blisters. My ankles did not buckle on me. There was adequate protection from rocks. And I felt I had a lot of agility; not heavy-feeling and easy on the knees. I'm real glad I got these shoes.

These shoes are little smaller than envisioned. I had a a pair of Kahana 2 shoes and liked them. The Kahana 2 shoes were 10.5, ordered the Kahana 6 in 10.5 but I had to exchange the Kahana 6 shoes for size 11. Very comfortable shoes and I really like them once I got the right size. The exchange worked well except that the price had increased by about $3.00. All in all, a good experience and outstanding shoes.

Very comfortable shoes BUT beware if you are on WET smooth surfaces where wearing these shoes is more like walking on ice. I thought trail shoes would provide extra grip. No so if on wet tile, roots, smooth rocks, etc. Beware. Otherwise I'd rate them much higher for comfort.

I have had these for a few weeks and they keep getting better. The first two days I used them (the break in period) was necessary to soften the skeleton in the sole of the shoe. Since I pronate some it seemed the inner edge of my heel nearest the arch made constant contact with the plastic footbed where it rises slightly. Once this area seemed to break in and give a little more the hot spot went away. I have been reaping the benefits of this great runner ever since. The sole has very good wear characteristics, the relief cuts in the tread are not cracking or look to be a potential weak point I would say the sole is; flexible & grippy, yet does not transmit the sharp edges of terrain to your foot. The material is very resistant to trail damage while being protective in the thick areas around your toes and heel cup. Also so far the waterproofing doest not allow water through even though it does not shed off the material may look wet but you are comfy, dry, and well ventillated in spite of the waterproofing in the material. If this keeps up I may buy another pair!! UPDATE 10/08/09 shoes no longer water resistant, they have not been washed or treated in a way this should occure so quickly but that my latest news.

I walk 4-6 miles a day, 3 days a week while alternating 3 days with a Merrell boot. With nearly eight months in the shoe, I must say that it is the MOST comfortable athletic shoe I've ever worn. I bought it for its weather resistance but have not really used it preferring the Merrell boot for rainy days. The design is unique as there are no hot spots or rub spots like in all the shoes I've had in my lifetime. They feel like a comfortable slipper due to the sock-like design and much of the time you don't feel like you're wearing shoes, thats how comfy they are!

This shoe was recommended by my personal trainer and I have to admit at first I was skeptical but after using for 6+ miles a day for a month I LOVE THEM! I was skeptical because the available sizes forced me to go to a man's shoe where I'd grown accustomed to buying ASICS in wide and long sizes for women. Also my PT had vetoed several of my selections of trail runners because of the mesh and she is admittant that wet feet make for miserable training. Well with WRX my feet are dry and the support is fantastic... Have bought 3 more pairs to last me through 2010.

I got these shoes about eight months ago... and have logged a few hundred miles in them.

I'm just a working stiff who likes to run three miles on the park trail near my house after work.

I'm no triathlete... but I wanted a high quality comfortable shoe because I spend a lot of time on my feet at work too.

These shoes have been excellent... super comfortable, if not super light... plenty of room up front. My 11.5s fit true to size.

They have worn incredibly well... probably should replace before the year is out... because after a couple of hundred miles most running shoes are at the end of their service life, I have found... but these are super durable... very water resistant, and still look fairly decent,

I highly recommend these shoes if you run off-pavement.

Perhaps the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It will however wear out in less than a year of daily use... due to the use of thin layers of material which contact the ground.

If you walk/run a lot, it is always recommended to utilize a good quality hard orthopedic insert in the shoe. Don't waste your money on gel inserts unless you only walk around the office from time to time.

But seriously, the Peal iZUMi with its slipper-like feel and wrap around lacing system make this the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. The water resistant material also makes it ideal for some short bad weather exposure; keeping your feet dry and comfy.

My 5yo loves them. They are bright and colorful enough to make my little girl love them. With the light up toes though, WOW! The lights are absurdly bright, and the only word that comes to mind is "BLING". They are almost blinding in dim lighting (She has to take them off inside, because I can't stand it) She loves them though, and that's what matters! I printed the sketchers sizing chart off their website, and measured on that. I got the next size up from what it said she was, and it gave us nearly a perfect "extra thumb" length in the shoe.

I got these for my five year old who started in kindergarten a month ago. and that's pretty much how long they last...really cute shoes and she loves them. but somehow in one month the sparkles fell, the bottom broke..

Well, the lights are still bright and I will let her continue wearing them until they totally fall apart.

So far, I can only say good things about these shoes. My last pair of shoes were a pair Reebok Fuel Extremes, and I do like those slightly better, but it is a close call.

I've had these shoes for 5 days, and I've put 27 miles on them. So far, they are light, sturdy, and well cushioned. They also fit well (no slipping/moving around) without feeling constricting or overly tight. I run on sidewalks/roads/paved surfaces, so I can't speak to how they'd hold up to off road running.

I've also had no issues with blistering, which was a problem with the previously mentioned pair of Reeboks, so that's a huge plus in their favor.

Given the current experience, I would buy this brand again in the future when it's time for another pair. We'll see if these can hold up over the long run I coaxed 591 miles out of the Reeboks, so these have their work cut out for them, but I'm optimistic based on their strong start. If they hold up, I'll upgrade this to 5 stars.

The shoe feels and looks like it is constructed with quality material. I love the bright colors. At first I wasn't sure what to think about the laces. since it was differentnot the traditional tie that I am use to. However, I realize now that it works greatI don't have to worry about re-tying, and it feels secure.

I run and walk in them and they feel very comfortable, stiffer and a little bulkier than a regular running shoe, but my feet feel supported and comfortable. I have to remember this is a TRAIL shoeso it's meant to be a little more rigid. Happy that it doesn't feel frumpy and it looks cool too!

Note of Caution:

I did have to go down half a size. I wear 7sI ordered 7s and the toe box felt huge. I lined it up with my other size 7 running shoes and it was significantly longer. I went to a local store to try on a half size smaller just to compare and going down a half size fit me best. The sales associate also told me that these run large. Amazon's exchange policy and experience was very smooth!

Other than that I am pleased with the product and would highly recommend!

I have been wearing these shoes for over a year and they are just good as new!

I first tried them on in a shoes shop, and it wasn't as tight as the other tennis shoes. (I have wide feet)

It's firm sole have been holding on for quite a while, and it doesn't leave any scratches on the court nor does it break down or disintegrate like other tennis shoes.

It's down side is that when you move a lot on the court, it makes this screeching sound that is as twice as loud as other shoes. (I think it's because of the firm sole)

I bought these shoes on Amazon as my first on-line shoe buying experience. I had some Nike's that were getting close to retirement and I had started looking at local area stores. No one had anything like I wanted for a price I was willing to spend. As a last resort, I checked on-line. To my surprise, it was easy and painless to narrow down the selection by color, size, price, etc. until I was left with a reasonable selection of options. I would typically spend $30 or $40 for a pair of tennis shoes but lately, all you can get for that price are the mesh construction running shoes. I really prefer the full leather "court" style shoes, but they are getting harder and harder to find. This pair was on sale from $55 to $48 and I also factored in the no sales tax aspect which saved a little more. The shoes came in 2 days (thanks to Amazon Prime), and they fit perfectly. While they are still in the break-in period, they are already one of more comfortable pairs I've owned in a long time.

These shoes did not live up to my expectations. They where way to slippery on whet terrain, especially on wet stone where they where lethal. But what makes me not gone use them again is the fact that after just one run (7,5 miles), the inner soles where starting to fall apart. And during the run the innersoles where making a bulge under my foot so I had to stop, take my shoes of and correct it.

It could be that these shoe just doesn't fit my feet. but be that as it may be, I can not recommend these shoes to any type of runners.

I absolutely love my shoes. I was really excited about receiving them in the mail and when they came I was so pleased.

They look exactly like the images and are extremely comfortable as well as durable. I have been wearing them a lot recently as I have begun a life change and am trying all new workouts and although they are described as running shoes, I have found they stand up to almost any exercise activity.

This shoe is also really bright and colorful and is on trend with the styles that are popular right now. The shoe also fit perfectly and the sizing is true to what size you would normally be.

I've worn Asics for years, and these feel better than ever. They're lighter than older models, but still supportive. I've worn them for moderate long runs and mostly cross-training and weightlifting. I feel like I can do demanding athletic activities, but still wear them around town without feeling like a complete dork. The colors are fresh and fun, and not too girly.

I converted from Saucany to Asics last year & never looked back. (This is my 4th pair.) I have high arches & this shoes hugs them well. They aren't as cushiony as the Gel Blur33, but its a trail shoe & not a road kick. The shoe has great tread, but not overly aggressive that it's impeding running on the road. I ran 7 road miles in them the other day & they were fine. I also wore them in a 20 mile cycling event & they were good for that too.

Ladies, the colors are great, gets the attention you want, but not overly in your face that you need sunglasses to view them. You can everyday wear them just for the look alone.

I have used these sucessfully for hundreds of miles of trail running through mud, rocks, sticks, weeds and even deep snow. They are very lightweight and pair well with Solomon shoes although I suspect they would fit well on any running shoe. One got torn on thorn bushes but it was easily fixed with duct tape. They have never fallen off or let any debris into my shoes. Highly recommend

I did a tough mudder with these on and they worked great ..... except the right foot had a spot where it rubbed me raw. wear taller socks and you will love these for keeping the crap out of your shoe and not have to be the one emptying your shoes out ;)

Simple and functional. Wore these for the first time at back-to-back weekend trail races. They kept the dirt and dust out the furst day. On the second day they kept the mud and pebbles out. My only drawback was the top edge started to rub my skin the first day. The second day I wore a little taller sock which prevented this. Great product!
