This shoe runs very small. I normally wear a Euro size 38; this 39 was very tight. Had to return it.

I ordered a size up knowing that these shoes run small. While I was on the hunt for the perfect mountain biking shoes, I tried an older model Women's X-Alp (not the wrx version) at the local REI in a size 38 and it somewhat fit, but was really tight. They no longer had larger sizes as the shoes was in closeout and that is when I searched amazon. It was over 30 dollars cheaper than REI's sale price so it's a no brainer that I order here.

About the shoes... well, I've owned them for over a month now and I have taken it out about 8 times in all types of conditions. They fit comfortably and feel just like any other running shoe with tons of soft chushy padding. My last 2 rides were in somewhat wet, muddy and snowy conditions and the shoes worked like magic. I had to haul my bike a few times through the mud because it was just too wet to bike through and these shoes helped a ton. Cleaning it was a breeze after, just stomped in some puddles of water and patted it together and it shed the mud easily. Even clipping in with clipless pedals was a breeze in these shoes in muddy conditions. I have no complaints about the shoe's performance so far. They are comfortable, walk in mud, mountain and packed ground better than most $150-300 cycling shoes and they are good value for money considering the price I got them for.

The only issue I had with them was when I initially installed cleats. I've fitted these shoes with crank brother cleats to work with my candy 3s and initially, the installation of the cleats was hard to dial in. These shoes have a lot of tread and I had issues clipping in due to tread interference. I got extra shims and doubled that on the cleats and voila, problem solved! I was afraid I would have to trim the shoes to get the cleats to work as some people suggest, but all I needed were a few shims afterall.

Overall, I am very happy with these shoes. It seems to be holding up pretty well considering the abuse I am putting it through. I would definitely recommend them to anyone out there looking for mountain biking shoes that you can't only bike with but also walk in.

They were beautiful! I wish they had been the right size so I wouldn't of had to send them back, I wanted to exchange them for my proper size, but I lost the good price I got when I bought them. So I have been forced to reorder a slightly different style.

LOVE these shoes! These are the first pair of bike shoes I have owned, and I wasn't really sure what features to look for or which brand to go with. These shoes are very comfortable, light, water resistant and breathable.

I needed to replace my zumi's and this is a different style than the ones I've had that I've loved. I've never had such a comfortable pair of tennis shoes. The new ones are stiffer, but seem comfortable as well. So far, these are breaking in nicely. I use them for walking and hope they will work well for hiking this summer!
