I have worn Sidi's and Mavic's for the past 10+ years. These shoes fit nearly perfectly out of the box. The toe box is wider, giving my toes more room to wiggle and better for circulation. The heel retention is much better than my previous shoes, and the offset buckle/strap combination is more comfortable and better constructed than the Mavic's. The toe molding is much better placed to protect the upper mesh from toe damage (which ruined my other shoes after less than a year). The last is slightly more curved than the Mavic's, but it feels more stable for me (less pronation).
This shoe has both heat moldable insoles and the shoe itself can be molded at your LBS. I heat molded the insoles by myself, following instructions found on the internet, and they are now even more comfortable. I will continue riding with them indoors, and if needed, take them to my LBS to have the shoe custom molded at this point it feels like I won't need to.
