I pulled these out of the box, put them on, and left on a short hike on a sloppy trail. 2 hours and I basically forgot I was wearing them, it was like walking on a sidewalk in tennies. I since have put probably 30 mile of hiking, and 10 of snowshoing in, and I love these boots. Plenty of support, good traction in the slop and snow, and dry and warm. Did I mention how comfortable they are.

I purcharsed this model as a replacement for my last heavy pair of Timberland hiking boots. I have wear them 2 times with great results in term of comfort, weight and water resistance. Sadly I could'nt say the same in terms of quality of materials. Two hikings were enought to tear the vamp off just in the spot were the foot flexes which suggest a lack of reinforcement or a bad choice of material.. Im now applying the warranty, they will answer in 10 days if they offer me some repair,a new pair or they'll return my money back. Its a pity cause omitting this issue I would have given 5 stars for sure.

I am quite picky with shoes as they must fit perfectly or I cannot stand wearing them. These Northface Hedgehogs are incredible, the fit was spot on and they are very comfortable. I wear them every day and recently bought a second pair to rotate them daily. These are not for heavy hiking, rather, these would be classed as light hiking boots and great for daily street wear.

I really like these boots!They feel so light on your feet,very comfortable except for the insoles,they feel so hard i had to get insoles(sorry i got to say it)so now...i be jell-in.....and that's the reason for the 4out of 5stars!You'd think a company as good as North Face and considering the prices they charge they'd have an insoles that feel like every step you're getting a foot massage!Would i recommend these boots to anyone?Well time will tell how good these boots are and i will definitely put them through many tests and only having used them once so far,i would recommend them!only expect to buy a pair of insoles....

They run narrow, but break in quick.

Hiking & backpacking.

Second pair so knew what I was getting.

They get rough use, but last anywhere between 6 & 8 months with care.
