Starting off, The shoe is extremely lightweight. I found out that I do have to wear them pretty tightly for them to fit properly, but it is the same as running in a cross country spike.
The lack of support really puts the stress and focus on the rolling of your foot on contact. I have seen very little wear for as much street time as I have put on them (they are the only shoe I run in now and usually do an average of 40 miles a week.)
The shoe breaths very well, sheds water easily, and when laced tightly, I have noticed no blisters from running both with and without socks.
I highly recommend this shoe, especially as a transition towards a low or non ankle supportive shoe.

I still run in my Brook Mach XI's that I purchased 3 years ago. Lightweight, very little drop, breathable, shed water like a duck. Perfect cross country shoe and works well for road running too. Although they are still in my rotation, they are also falling apart and so I decided to try finding that glory again in the Mach 14's (apparently we don't care for Roman numerals any longer).I see what they are trying to do: make the ultimate lightweight feather. The problem is that they sacrificed everything that made the Mach XI a great shoe to do so. First problem is that they made the shoe fit narrower in the middle and in the toe box. The upper over the toe box also lays flatter so your toes feel like they have no room at all. So even if you wanted to stick with these shoes, I would order either a half or a full size larger than the previous model. Next, they figured taking a paper thing piece of cloth and screenprinting the design on it would be the best way to save weight. Well, there went the breathabiity. Lastly, the tongue is the flimsiest piece of cloth I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, so when you put your foot into the shoe, it slips and folds up in various areas, and is impossible to straighten out once your foot is actually inside.
This shoe seemed to be more of a gimmick than a shoe to take seriously. With its screenprinted feather on the inside, it meets its goal of becoming the lightest XC shoe possible, but alienates anyone that was already a fan of this line of shoe.

My go to running shoes. They are light, surprisingly durable, and reasonably priced.
Sizing is on the snug side so order a half size larger than normal. That said, I took the insoles out of the shoes I purchased and found that I had gained the room I was missing without compromising the function of the shoe.
I just purchased 2 more in spike-less form and 1 with spikes for the icy weather this winter.
I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a good value and light weight running shoe.
