Naturally, shoe fitting is a highly personal thing. We all have different foot shapes. I find New Balance shoes fit me the best. My wife is an Asics fan. Generally, she's been spending over $100 for the model she liked best previously. She decided to give this one a try, at less than half the price, and she says it is superior to the $100+ model. Very comfortable, seems to be constructed better too. Very solid body (she has had a problem with Asics in the past because on some models her toe goes through). But she feels this is a much more solid shoe.

I don't have high arches and these work great for me. A year later the shoes still looks great but is starting to separate at the seam of the heal and sole only noticeable to me since I'm putting them onthis is not unexpected for the use that I put them throughafter all running shoes should technically get replaced every six months ( and that's about what I'm at after a several month hiatus because of a broken foot). While the separating doesn't seem to be effecting the impact durably of the shoe I will be buying another set of asics gels this week.

I picked up the Gel-Fluent 4 about 3 years ago and this is my 5th pair. They are fantastice for running. Light weight with excellant support (I have a high arch).

While my wife and I are sold on ASICS shoes, there seems to be a seller that equips the shoes with shoelaces that are too short. The shoelaces provided barely make a 2" bow with the shoe tied tight. I bought some ASICS shoes before a vacation last February that I had to return for a larger size, but they had too short shoelaces also, the replacement shoes had normal shoelaces. What's up with short shoelaces?
