I bought these for my wife, and she really liked the cushion. The only problem she had with these insoles was that they used up a little too much room in the toe box, kind of cramping her feet a bit. We'll try her next shoes with the insoles installed to insure that that isn't a problem.

Really nice looking, low profile tennies. The black is actually almost a super dark charcoal gray. Comfortable right out of the box, not the best arch support but still okay. I love these shoes but there is one thing about them that really bugs me. The tongue doesn't have anything holding it in place and so it slides over and shows my socks a lot. The comfort is great its just this one cosmetic issue that keeps me from wearing them everyday. The no laces version Onitsuka Tiger Men's Mex 66 Slip-On CV Sneaker has a little piece of elastic that keeps the tongues in place so they always look great. I love the Onitsuka Tiger shoes. I have 3 pairs now but this is my first pair of Mexico 66's and I love them. Sadly they get dirty very easily. They are made out of a sweatpants kind of material that are hard to clean if you get them dirty and on a gray shoe it can be very noticeable. I own this shoe in adult 6.5, and it fits wonderfully. It has excellent support, and walking just flat out feels better with this model than with any other shoe I've tried on.
I ordered this shoe in a size 4.5, which should correspond to the adult 6.5, but it was too tight on my larger foot. I found that it didn't seem as cushy as the adult version. I am unsure if this is because I tried it on in a size that was too small, or if it is genuinely lower quality than the adult version. I sent it back because of how ill fitting it was.
My only complaint is that this model only comes in this one color and style. I wish there were more options for Big Kid's like there are for women. However, it is something I will gladly overlook seeing how much money I was able to save by purchasing these instead of the adult version.

I purchased these in a 4.5 and they are a bit big for my women's size 5 foot. I should have gone with the 4 but with an insole and thicker sock these are perfection. They are exactly like the women's version and offer the same great quality that asics always provides, only a fraction of the price! If you an adult who is fortunate enough to be able to buy kids shoes for yourself, this is a great option. My mother who is a size 7.5 women's owns the exact same pair and there is no difference other than the size and the price tag. I've been an active runner for the past year and a half and already been wearing these shoes for the past week. They are amazing and a great value. FYI, the women's version is upwards of $140, depending on where you purchase them.My only complaint is that this model only comes in this one color and style. I tried this exact shoe on in the store. I love it. It cost $150.00. The 6.5 fit perfectly, it's the size I wear in all running shoes. I went home and ordered this shoe at Amazon because it was only $90.00. It is the exact shoe I tried on in the store. I got the shoe, it was huge. It looks huge and it fits like a whole size larger. I sent it back. Just got another pair today, same thing. The shoe is huge next to my 6.5 size shoes. I asked friends and family what they thought. They all said the shoe looks like a size 7.5 not a 6.5. I am so disappointed because this shoe fit me perfectly in the store, and I have such a hard time finding just the right fit.

Are really lightweight, it's a "pro", but they look nicer in picture. I was so dissapointed when i received this pair of cleats for my grandson, i could say they are almost ugly, i thought it was sintetic leather in the toe cap and the heel counter but it's patent sintetic leather, don't like at all. Not appealing!. But functionally speaking, they do the work, and as i said they are very very lightweight.

This is my fourth pair of New Balance sneakers in the Minimus line. I love them. Use the sizing guide and order accordingly, rather than your normal shoe size, sneakers fit differently and you don't want running sneaks tight in the toe box. I am not overly fond of the current trend in sneakers that they all must come in fruit loop colors even the black ones have purple on them. Oy. However, ultimately, I run a lot of miles a week and the function of the shoe is most important to me, so the color is a side issue. (I'll be glad when the neons have run their course though, I admit.)
The Minimus line is awesome. Sock-like fit, I wear them without socks. The women's sole last is excellent for my feet. My toes can spread and hug the ground, but my feet are wrapped in a good fit with excellent shoe architecture. These are not meant to last forever they are meant to last through about one season of marathon-training intensity. If you don't run that much, they'll last you longer. The Minimus line is low drop, so if you aren't used to a lower platform, start slowly. Once you have deleloped your lower leg muscles accordingly, you can take them out for longer sessions. I wear these (4mm drop) and another pair that is a 0mm drop shoe, for different styles of run workouts, and I absolutely love how much more efficient my running is compared to three years ago, when I first started working on changing my form from the standard heel-strike to the midto forefoot strike.
Highly recommend the Minimus line and New Balance products in general. Great company. .
I'm generally not one to sport sneakers in what another reviewer referred to as "fruit loopy" colors, but I said what the heck, be bold! And I've gotten tons of compliments in the two days I've been wearing them even from total strangers!
I did size up a half size, but I won't hold that against the shoe because I often do go up a half size in running shoes. In a 9 my toes were hitting the front just standing.
I bought these to be everyday walkabout shoes, but I do plan to give them a whirl running since my new pair of [not cheap] old standbys finally left me with some plantar fasciitis and have too thick a heel for comfortable mid-foot strikes.

I gave it 4 stars only because I can't in good conscience give it 5 as a running shoe... because I haven't run in them yet. But walking about they are super comfy. I've been concentrating on a mid-foot strike, so there's no discomfort in the heel from the minimal sole. Discount ASICS Women's GEL-Fluent 4 Running Shoe
Naturally, shoe fitting is a highly personal thing. We all have different foot shapes. I find New Balance shoes fit me the best. My wife is an Asics fan. Generally, she's been spending over $100 for the model she liked best previously. She decided to give this one a try, at less than half the price, and she says it is superior to the $100+ model. Very comfortable, seems to be constructed better too. Very solid body (she has had a problem with Asics in the past because on some models her toe goes through). But she feels this is a much more solid shoe.

I don't have high arches and these work great for me. A year later the shoes still looks great but is starting to separate at the seam of the heal and sole only noticeable to me since I'm putting them onthis is not unexpected for the use that I put them throughafter all running shoes should technically get replaced every six months ( and that's about what I'm at after a several month hiatus because of a broken foot). While my wife and I are sold on ASICS shoes, there seems to be a seller that equips the shoes with shoelaces that are too short. The shoelaces provided barely make a 2" bow with the shoe tied tight. I bought some ASICS shoes before a vacation last February that I had to return for a larger size, but they had too short shoelaces also, the replacement shoes had normal shoelaces. What's up with short shoelaces?
Reviews of Mizuno Unisex Wave Universe 4 Running Shoe
I've tried a variety of minimalist shoes over the last few years including Sketchers GoBionic, Nike Free 3.0 v4s, Altra Samson, New Balance Minimus MR00, and Vibrams. These Mizunos are one of my favorites. There is a slight heel on them (I believe the drop is 4mm) which is similar to what you'd find on the Nike free. The first thing you'll notice when picking these up is just how light they are, they weigh almost nothing. Running in them doesn't offer much cushioning (but that's the point of finding minimalist shoes), but I had no problem maintaining a mid-foot strike using these. I preferred them to most of the shoes above, even though the Mizuno's aren't as hyped as any of those. The Nikes didn't breathe well at all, the Sketchers were nice but felt a little sloppy (hard to describe), the Altras had odd stitching that irritated my feet when running sockless. Vibram Four-fingers are in a different category and I believe you either love them or you don't, I didn't mind them, but I didn't love them.
From all of those shoes, I like the compromise that the Mizuno Wave Universe offers. I rotate them with a few other shoes, but love putting these on. If you want a lightweight shoe, then give these a try, you won't be disappointed.
As for any minimalist shoe though, make sure to ease into running in these if you are used to a regular more bulky shoe, otherwise you'll likely injure yourself or at the very least end up with some pretty annoying cramping in your feet and calves.
Soft, lightweight, beautiful and comfortable.
Intend to buy more pairs.
From all of those shoes, I like the compromise that the Mizuno Wave Universe offers. I rotate them with a few other shoes, but love putting these on. If you want a lightweight shoe, then give these a try, you won't be disappointed.

I had been running in Vibram Bikilas for a while, but I was finding that my pinky toe was always getting jammed (and going up a size made it too loose on the rest of my toes). Decided to look for a minimalist shoe that wouldn't result in toe pain, and after reading some reviews I went with these Mizuno Wave shoes. I'm not sure if I'll go back to my Vibrams... these are even LIGHTER than my Bikilas, which is awesome, I can still feel ground details under my feet, and no more toe jamming. 1 star docked because the traction isn't very good on these (which was something I did like about the Five Fingers shoes), and also because I had to go up a full size than usual for a good fit.As for any minimalist shoe though, make sure to ease into running in these if you are used to a regular more bulky shoe, otherwise you'll likely injure yourself or at the very least end up with some pretty annoying cramping in your feet and calves.

The injuries that were bothering me in the past made me think more about the technique and better running form. And to have a better form I needed a proper shoe with minimum support and with a thin heel. The Mizuno Universe 4 is perfect for my running. I use it for daily training and for races. I also use Merell's Trail Glove for trails but not only. The Mizuno is very light but well built. They do help you run faster, because they are very light and comfy. Fila Women's SKELE-TOES BAY RUNNER 3 Hiking Sneakers Review
Fila-Skele-Toes are not the type of shoes that you put on and they are perfect. They take a little getting accustomed to wearing them. But, once you do they are comfy. I bought them because I've developed a hammer toe and I'm trying to correct my toe. It's too early to determine if they will correct them,but, maybe I'll give another review on that. But, it does make my toe feel better. I would recommend them to a friend.
I chose these because they were a) cute, b) inexpensive, c) had reviews I felt I could trust.
I read that they fit kinda big and I usually wear an 8.5-9 so I trusted the reviews and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly! Also, my second toe is longer than my big toe and that is not a problem with these shoes. The pinky & ring(?) toes go together so you don't have an awkward fit for the two. It actually gives a lot of freedom to have the two together.
I didn't want them to stink, so I also ordered a 6-pack of "RSG Hosiery Men's & Women's Toe Socks 6-Pack." Not sure yet how I feel about them, but they did the job and were thin enough to fit well with these shoes.
So I got the shoes & tried them on immediately. It took a little work to get them on because you have to guide your foot just right to get your toes in properly and the opening doesn't open very far. As another reviewer mentioned, there isn't a tab on the heel to help pull the shoe on, which is somewhat bothersome. However, I didn't find any of these factors to be a big enough nuisance to make me not want to wear them.
They are extremely comfortable and very supportive. It's like being barefoot, but with a big winter glove on your foot. Movement is slightly restricted since they are a bit thick and they have a solid sole, but there's still plenty of movement. While they don't actually lace, they have elastic laces that can tighten up pretty well.
I would definitely recommend these, especially if you are new to toe shoes like I am. They are extremely comfortable and natural feeling. I can see myself wearing these shoes as often as possible, especially because I like being barefoot at home (and recently broke my toe & had to get 6 stitches in it because I was barefoot & dropped a huge piece of broken glass on my toe). The price is great and I will most definitely be ordering more!

I really like wearing toe socks so these shoes are very comfortable to me. You might want to go a half size up when ordering because so fitted.
Brooks Women's PureFlow Lightweight Running Shoes Review
OMG am I a happy camper. I am 47 year old mom and preschool teacher. I Jazzercise 4 times per week and walk 3-5 miles twice per week, plus some Y visits thrown in. I am on my feet and moving ALL day long. My heels and feet have been very sore from so much activity and not the right shoes (even though I have a rack full of pairs to rotate between in my collection). The lady at REI talked with me extensively while I was buying a pair of Danskos for work
and she suggested these for my feet and problem. The second I laced them and stood up, walked around the store I was in love. I hugged the gal and told her Thank you SO much and I am not taking these off. I was like a little kid when I left, wearing my new shoes up to pay for them. Told everyone I have met since about my new shoes. While walking to my car, I almost told the people parked next to me that I thought I was walking on cotton balls and felt like (again like a little child) that perhaps I could run faster with these babies on. I wore them until I went to bed. The proverbial cat's meow. Buy them. Not cheap, but boy are they worth it. You won't regret it.
*** The other review was right though. They are not real roomy in the toe box. I wear an 8 in everything and an 8 fit perfectly in these. I am 5'4 and weigh 120 lbs....now being carried on clouds. If someone had wide feet, or needed a roomy shoe, these probably would not work for them. They are light weight and cushiony and comfortable. I will buy a pair for my teenage son.

I used to wear the Brooks Addiction 11's, switched to Mizuno's last year and am so happy to be back to a Brooks shoe.
Like a previous poster, I am in my 40's and run about 3 miles or so a day. I also have knee issues, but these shoes have been great no added knee pain.

I wore them until I went to bed. The proverbial cat's meow. Buy them. Not cheap, but boy are they worth it. You won't regret it.
*** The other review was right though. They are not real roomy in the toe box. I wear an 8 in everything and an 8 fit perfectly in these. I am 5'4 and weigh 120 lbs....now being carried on clouds. If someone had wide feet, or needed a roomy shoe, these probably would not work for them. They are light weight and cushiony and comfortable. I will buy a pair for my teenage son.

I am a 40something year old mom who normally runs 3 to 10 miles/day depending on the day and the time I have. I am an average build not too thin and not overweight. I have a super high arch and these are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned... the feeling is like running on jello but more stable, great arch, no blisters with thin socks. the heel is low so if you are not used to minimalist shoes, you may want to build up to a longer distance slowly. I was recovering from shin splints and a tibial stress fracture and needed new shoes. I needed a neutral shoe with cushioning and when I first looked at the Pure Flow I was worried that there wouldn't be enough support/cushion. But I've been using them for a few weeks now and they are exactly what I wanted and needed. The cushioning is great! I had a problem with heel striking instead of a midfoot strike which was hard on my knees and shins but the Pure Flow really corrected that and I've been increasing my distance and running pain free! I am in love with these shoes! I have them in white with purple and wanted a second pair that wouldn't show dirt as much. I am not a runner. I have lower back problems and have had disc surgery. These shoes are very supportive and are almost bouncy when you walk. They are very comfortable to wear if you have to be on your feet a lot. I talked about them so much that my husband also wanted a pair. He loves his too! He has been running and says that these shoes make a huge difference. I am so in love with my new Pure flows! I wasn't sure it would be the right shoe for me (It is a slightly more neutral shoe and I have been wearing more stability shoes), but I have been running in them for 3 weeks now with a big smile on my face. They are so light and cushiony they hug my feet. I wear a size 9 in a casual shoe and these are a 9 1/2, so just like with most running shoes, I'd recommend going up a half size.I used to wear the Brooks Addiction 11's, switched to Mizuno's last year and am so happy to be back to a Brooks shoe.
Like a previous poster, I am in my 40's and run about 3 miles or so a day. I also have knee issues, but these shoes have been great no added knee pain.
