Arthritis has done its thing on the metatarsals and there is no "fat pad" under the ball of my feet. These have given me tremendous relief. Would not be able to be near as active without them.

I stand & walk on concrete 10/12 hrs a night with Metatarsal/ ball of the foot/ arthritis problem in both of my feet at work wearing steel toes shoes and these are some great insoles read most of the reviews loved everything I read about this one and only pair. so far everything is gong great lets hope it continues...thanks new balance for a good product with many needs!

I purchased these insoles because I have a Morton's neuroma. I have used these insoles in my athletic shoes for a week and the only time that I have had pain from the neuroma, it was because I switched to another pair of shoes with an older, less molded insole. I'm really very pleased. When I took a spin class, my arch was uncomfortable when I stood on the pedals, so I will probably use a different insole for spinning. Otherwise, I will definitely be using these. My shoes are a women's size 7 and 7.5, and the size 6.5 insoles seem to fit both pairs very well without being too short.

I have metatarsalgia in both feet and need good insoles to walk comfortably, so when I read the description of these insoles I immediately ordered a pair. The good news is that they are very cushy .The orange inserts in the bottom of the insoles seem to be some sort of gel like material and provide noticeable shock absorption. The insoles initially feel a pillowy all over, in a strange sort of way, but that goes away after a few days. The insoles seem to mold to my feet. The arch is full and supportive. All this is very good.

On the other hand, the insoles are quite thick and don't fit in the shoes I bought them for. That's after replacing a pair of Powerstep Pinacle insoles, which aren't exactly thin. The heel section of the New Balance insoles is thicker still, altering the way I walk. I have a pair of shoes that work with the insoles so am happy with the purchase. Given how thick these are, I recommend them with reservations. If they fit your shoes, great. They may not.
