People say that they are cheaply made and almost see through. If they had any idea what a minimalist shoe was then they would be aware of the fact that this is what you are paying for. The motto on the box says more is less. It is supposed to simulate barefoot movement. Go to new balances website and read it before you give a great product bad reviews due to your own incompetency. I have ran two pairs of the minimums 10 trails and my wife runs the minimums zeros. My daughter is 5 and a half and want to go run trails with me so I purchased these. They are a great shoe and well worth the money. You go and pay 60 bucks for stride rights but 37 bucks for these on amazon is too much? You have to be kidding me. Don't listen tot these other naysayers. Go get these for you kid and them and their feet will love you. When you are at it you should get yourself some also.

My daughter loves the shoes, they fit great, they look great, but...I purchased the shoes on 9/5/12 and as of 11/15/12 they already have a hole on the right fore foot, foot bed separation on the left fore foot, and the lateral logo on the left foot is pealing off. I love New Balance and that is the only brand of athletic shoe my family buys. I have previously read of similar quality issues in the adult version of this shoe, the MT20v2. This shoe is listed as a pre trail running shoe. I have purchased a pair of the KT20 trail running shoes with the synthetic cloth upper that is sewn together which should last longer. I hope this helps.

The stitching is coming undone around the shoelaces and my daughter has only worn them for a little over a month. Not happy with the quality for the brand and price of the shoe.

My son is a avid runner and this is the third pair of kt20 we have purchased.These shoes are different than the previous models which is a disappointment(Keep in mind the model numbers are the the same) . This model runs big does not have a holes to tie a a heel lock which allows debris in the shoes????? If you have skinny ankles socks are a must. The toe cap is not stitched and the material that protects the toes seems flimsy (he has already complained of stubbing a toe with one weeks use. These shoes are not lined inside where the previous ones were seamless. It seems NB has turned the KT20 into a casual shoe so it would be fine if that is what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a shoe for running in do not buy this shoe.
