for some reason the black and pink/purple color was half the price of the other colors! for $35 these were a steal. i know i'll get a lot of use out of them.

This shoe is true to New Balance sizing (I have been a size 10 for years with New Balance, and a size 10 in this shoe fits me well). It is lightweight and provides some support. My only concern with the fit is that where the mesh meets the suede on the outside of the shoe, my foot bends the mesh over the suede, giving the shoe a slightly crushed look in that area. This does not feel uncomfortable, however, so I can live with this defect.

I can't imagine it as a running shoe considering how thin the shoe is. I would expect it to fall apart with extended use and exposure to the elements. I am using it as a casual walking shoe, which is a task I think it can stand up to.

Not the most supportive nor well-built shoe NB has ever made, but works nicely as a budget caual summer shoe. Its comfortable and looks nice.
