I recently purchased the same pair at the shoe store for sixty dollars, but these are a bit cheaper here on Amazon. I need to try on shoes before I wear them, which is why I buy these in person. However, if you have the time to go to the store, try these on, and then order the same pair from Amazon, you will save money. I noticed these ship free with super shipper, so that is not bad. The Sketchers D'Lites are one of my favorite shoes now because these are light weight, and hold up after months and many hundreds of miles of walking. As a pedestrian I am happy to have found a line of shoes that do not cut up my feet, and which do not fall apart after four months. I actually had my white pair of Sketchers D'lites for seven months, but these were beginning to look a bit old after walking almost five hundred plus miles in that time frame, so I decided to get a new pair. I like how the black color goes with everything, and the pink accents are fun. My shoes even came with pink shoelaces for those who want to add a bit of girly girl to their look.

This sneaker felt good when I first slipped it on. But when I began to walk around, my heel was rubbed with each step. Even when I tightened the laces, this continued. I am a true size 6 1/2, and rarely have trouble with sizing. But these are either a touch too big or there is a small design flaw. Either way, I returned them.

I also usually go for a simple colored shoe but am loving the pink in these! Im 33 but there's just enough color and bling so they dont look too young. They are also very true to size, and size is what Im most impressed with, Im quite sure Im not alone in sayin women love their shoes that make your feet look dainty? WARNING: DO *NOT* BUY FUTGLOVE SHOES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!! I wish I could review their actual product for you, but I cannot, because they lied to me, stole my shoes, and have refused to make any effort to set things right (see below for more details). This review has nothing to do with this particular vendor, but I feel compelled to post it because anyone who buys a Futglove product may at some point need to work with Futglove customer service and you need to know that there is ABYSMAL customer service Futglove. Save yourself the trouble and buy your five-toe shoes elsewhere. Give your money instead to a company that values its customers, that conducts its business with dignity and integrity, and that doesn't lie to and steal from the people it supposedly cares about.

My story: I won a pair of brand-new, still-in-the-box-and-wrappers Futglove shoes at a member appreciation party at my local gym, but the shoes did not fit me. I searched online to find a local retailer where I could exchange the shoes I had won for a size that fit me, but I could not find a local seller in my area, so I located Futglove's webpage and telephoned the contact number. (I learned later that this contact number is the cell phone of the company's CEO. There is no customer support line and nobody to help you but this man, who is only out to help himself.) I explained the situation on the phone about how I had won the shoes but that they did not fit and I was told that they would be happy to exchange my shoes for the correct size I just needed to send them back and they would send me out a new pair in the correct size once they received my shoes, provided I pay for the return shipping, to which I willingly agreed. I sent the shoes back (delivery confirmation, so I know they were received). A week went by and I heard nothing, so I called again to check on my shoes. The CEO told me the shoes had been received and that he would get back to me shortly. He never did. I called many times. No messages were ever returned. I sent some texts to the number, since I had figured out that it was his cell phone, and replied that he would call back. He didn't. I continued leaving multiple messages per week. All were ignored. A month later, I finally got the CEO on the phone again and he told me that would not send back my original shoes or a replacement pair because the gym that had given me the shoes hadn't fully paid for them. I told him this was not my problem, that this was a problem between Futglove and the gym, not between me and Futglove. I pleaded with him to make the situation right, to remember that I had sent my shoes back in good faith because he had promised to send back a pair to replace them, that he had given me his word as a businessman, that I was a customer who had nothing to do with the business relationship between his company and the gym. He refused. It has been over two months since I sent my brand new shoes in for a size exchange and I never received my original shoes or any replacement shoes back. I was lied to and deceived by this company and had my property stolen by them. As a result of my experience, I advise any and all potential customers to steer very clear of Futglove.

Well made, warm, but were a little tighter than I expected. I wear a 10 1/2 and got the Medium which was for 10-11 sizes. I was going to wear them with socks to keep my ankles warm, but they were too tight. Have been wearing them around w/o socks to break them in (compressing the lining) which seems to be working. Will continue and hopefully when it gets colder (I'm in sunny AZ and its 85 deg out) will loosen up enuf to wear my socks with them.

I am an avid hiker, walker and tourist and was looking for some shoes to support my very high arches and be comfortable enough to wear on a good long days walking.

These fit the bill perfectly (not to mention they were a warehouse deal!) These are very comfy and supportive. I walked all day in them and had no blisters, no rubbing, no sore feet...I was so surprised I didn't even have to break them in! They have moderate arch support (that is 50 times more then most running shoes have) that kept my arches supported all day without soreness. In addition, the mesh tops vent quite well and kept my feet nice and dry all day. They have good grip and tread so you don't feel like your feet will come out from underneath you.

They ft true to the size (I wear a 7.5 and got a 7.5 and they fit like a glove). In addition, they are very durable so far they have held up to weeks of being walked in daily and still look brand new! I also love the color....black with red is snazzy enough to wear them with jeans and have them not look like grungy running shoes from your high school track team.

I bought two pairs of these shoes since I do a lot of ultras and previous commenters noted that they run wide. The first pair has worked out quite well, I am a EE and they run around an E to EE width. I have run about 130 miles in them so far, including a couple of tough 50 kilometer trail runs in them, and they are holding up better than any of my previous shoes, give good trail feel, have good traction on a wide variety of terrain ranging from snow and mud to steep and technical ups and downs, and the rock guard offers enough protection that my feet do not get beat up. Temperatures for my runs have ranged from freezing with snow to dry and in the high 80's and the shoes have been reasonably comfortable throughout. When wet they dry adequately, but are not so porous that they let in a lot of dirt and grit. Now for the down side. I was so happy with the first pair that I bought a second. The first time I wore them, I went to tighten the laces and one of the lacing loops ripped out, so quality control may be an issue. That said, I will replace the defective ones with another pair and hope they are as stout as the first pair. If the second pair had not ripped out I would have rated them a 5 out of 5.

Update I have two pairs of the Sparks and now have several hundred miles on each pair of them, including running the 2012 Western States 100. After Western States, my feet were still in good shape, with no black toenails, and only three minor blisters that I didn't discover until after finishing the race. Also, no bruising of the soles of my feet. I am still very happy with them, and they are wearing better than other shoes I have used. I do agree with another reviewer that the lacing loops could be improved, but they are holding up so far. on these two pairs.

The combination of firm cushioning, 'medium' heel-toe drop, and a wide toe box with a low arch make this shoe nearly perfect for me. I ran in the New Balance MT101 for a few years, and really liked that shoe but found it to be a bit too minimal for longer runs. The Spark has a similar last and a very similar outsole (very grippy, but not very big lugs), but has better foot protection and more support. The shoe is quite light, while feeling solidly built with a well cushioned tongue and heel. I have about 120 miles on them so far, including two 20+ mile runs, and they look brand new apart from slight wear on the forefoot lugs. A+.

I'm a little over 70 miles into these shoes, including my first 50k. I've run extremely dry/dusty trails, rocky logging roads, and just recently through some wet and slick sections. So far no complaints, I was looking for a shoe with less than the typical 10-12mm drop, and at 6mm these seemed a good step in that direction. I was little worried about not getting my feet accustomed to them before my race, but after about 35 miles I felt like they were part of me. No break in period that I could feel.

I came from a pair of (slightly too small) Montrail Mountain Masochists and realized I needed something better fitting for the 50k. If I'd had all the time in the world, I would probably have gone with the NB MT110's, or Altra Lone Peaks, but I didn't want to try going from 10mm drop to 4 or 0 so quickly. I'm glad I went with the Sparks. I have what I like to call "ogre foot," wherein the middle section of my foot bulges out way more than my toe toes, and it's tricky to find shoes that accommodate that well. I tried on a lot of trail runners, including the Brooks PureGrit 2s, NB MT110s, Brooks Cascadias, and Saucony Xodus 4.0s. The Cascadias and MT 110s felt pretty good width wise, but the former was too much shoe, and the latter was too little. PureGrit2s were too snug in the mid, and the Saucony's were 4mm drop AND felt a little overbuilt.

The Scarpa Spark Trail shoe is the best trail racing shoe I've worn in the past eight years. These shoes command the frontier between serious minimalism and super-lightweight protective shoes. I ran a great 50km race on 95% single track, and while I posted a PR, I'd say that was about as far as I's like to run in them at race speed in one day. They provide great balance and support but not a whole lot of shock absorption.

I have 300 + miles on my Sparks now they have held up extremely well, including the sole. I have raced 50K Ultra's with them, and cannot imagine running in another shoe. The comfort they provide and the light feel are perfect. At first I thought they were a bit wide, but I simply laced up a bit tighter and problem solved. The shoe has held up the best to wear and tear better than any other trail shoe I have owned after 300+ miles. My only one complaint would be the laces want to come untied, thus I double knot no big deal. But those laces that come with some shoes that are thick and thin to keep from untieing would be the only improvement I can think of. I was leary that a light shoe would not have enough cushion, as I run on rough rocky dry terrain typically but they again have performed perfectly. Scarpa absolutely hit a home run with these. My prior shoes were Mountain Massochist's those seem like a tank compared to these, and those wore out much quicker then these. The other reviewers who posted saying they have had problems, I have not experienced. And if someone runs 10 miles in them and then posts a review can't really give a valid review in my opinion. Not saying other reviewers here have done that, but I always get a chuckle when someone reviews a running shoe yet has ran in them once!

This is the latest in the line of this series, and it does not disappoint. They are comfortable, perform well, give great support, allow you to run or walk all day, and won't leave your feet tired. They are also recommended by my podiatrist. After wearing many shoes in this product line, I decided to buy a pair of Reebok Men's Instant Running Shoe, thinking that they'd be good since I had such good experience with Reebok shoes. It was a big mistake. Not all footwear is the same, and not all Reebok is the same. Even cheaper ones that come close enough in price that you'd expect somewhat similar quality do not rise to the level of these. Not only are these good for running, but they are also great for walking, a day on your feet at the amusement park, or just as generally comfortable footwear.

My 5 year old Grandson has been playing soccer now for 2 years now and I wanted to purchase him soccer shoes that would be helpful in the sport, however my main concern was to get shoes that would help protect him while playing. I purchased the exact same pair of soccer shoes last year for him and as I watched other players slip, slide due to the lack of traction or fall due because of to much traction, my grandsons seemed to have just enough traction to keep him from slipping of sliding, yet not to much that would cause him to fall.

Somehow over the year he grew out of his first pair so when it was time to purchase a new pair, I went directly to the shoe that I KNEW would be the best for him.

I RECOMMEND this shoe to any youngster that is playing soccer!

We have purchased Stride Rite shoes for our children since they have walk and been satified. These Slingshot by Stride Rite are not the same quality. The first pair we purchased started to fall apart within a week. When we returned the shoes to the the store, the sales rep said there had been considerable returns for this particular model. But we liked the look, so we tried another pair of Slingshots. In about three weeks, the stitching in the front toe gave way. So, we returned them to Stride Rite for a different model.

Needed a wider sport sneaker for school for my daughter so I went back to stride rite. I used to buy stride rite when they were toddlers, they always seemed to fit best. Now when she is 10, I find most of the gorgeous shoes I love for looks fit my daughter's wide and high-arched foot badly, very badly. Are you shopping for a kid with high arched and/or wide feet? never buy Italian in spite of the beautiful design and hand stitched leather!(so sad) These were instantly comfortable just perfect. BONUS: they are cute! no-tie bungy laces, nice design, great color, daughter loves them, mother loves them, price was very good. It's a love story. My fast growing girl wears a size 5, so ladies with smaller feet...don't hesitate. Other brands that work for my high-and-wide foot gurl? Teva, tsubo, and (sigh) crocs. Soccer cleats? again, avoid Italian brands adidas has been best for our girl. Happy back to school everyone.

I really like the Stride Rite brand but this particular style and color (I purchased the pink/white) becomes very dirty very quickly and does not wash well. I have had other pink/white Stride Rite shoes that stay cleaner longer and wash to look nearly new. The velcro didn't hold well either. I don't recommend the Slingshot.
