I currently own two pairs of Gel Enduro shoes. I bought these shoes with the understanding that they were WIDE width. Since I was very happy with my other shoes I quickly took off the tags, and got rid of the packaging (yep I was that confident in the brand). As I walked around the house I noticed that they did not have the cushioning of my other pairs. They were a lot stiffer but I thought that I just needed to adjust to the new shoes. Wore them about 3 hours and I seriously wanted to dump them in the nearest dumpster. They are horribly uncomfortable. Wishing I could take them back but in all conscience I can not because I DID wear them and got rid of the packaging to boot. Lesson learned, I should have went with my first instinct and return them promptly after trying them on :(

I bought these shoes this summer and I've been completely loving them. They are a bit narrow (I have narrow feet so this isn't a problem), which is a typical running shoe "problem." But, if you have narrow feet they're wonderful. They are very cushioned, so if you are a runner that lands a bit hard on your heel despite trying to retrain your stride they're good because they give you a lot of support. And, as usual with Asics, there is wonderful arch support. Highly recommend this product to any runner.

These shoes are a perfect fit, and arrived in Afghanistan faster than expected. I loved these shoes so much I bought my husband a pair. I was expecting these shoes to take about a month to arrive to Afghanistan, to my surprise, they arrived in a little less than two weeks. These shoes are very durable, I wear them everyday for cross fit and walk on rocks in them, with no discomfort. I would recommend these to shoes to others, and have plans to buy another pair in a different color just for the variety.

Saucony Men's Progrid Omni 11 Running Shoe Review

I was a little late updating my running shoe. I had the Omni 7 and they were too worn. I had ramped up my exercise too much too soon lately and developed what feels like plantar fasciitis on my left foot. As soon as I put these on the discomfort was noticeably less. I am still treating the foot gingerly for now, but I even ran a bit on it to see where I was at with the pain. Felt great, but I don't want to push it. For now, I am mostly exercising with eliptical trainer, but I hope to be running 3-5 miles again soon. Zero pain and shoe feels great.

I was originally turned on to the shoe at a shoe store where they analyzed my shoe wear pattern and watched me run on a treadmill. I am an over-pronator who has had a lot of difficulty running in the past. Years ago, I developed a stress fracture with regular shoes and had to lay off running for a long time. (My family has terrible foot problems.) The Omnis helped me get back to running. They are much lighter than the Omni 7 and feel great. Definitely recommend. Just don't wait to long to get new shoes!

Edit: Foot rehabbed in month on boring eliptical trainer and back to normal. I've been running 5 miles at a time with no problems for the past month. Great shoe.

This is my first running shoe so take my review with a grain of salt.

I started running about 2 months ago and I always wore a pretty old, simple sports shoe. I started feeling mild pain in my knees and ankles after my workouts but I thought it was just a natural side-effect of running and that it was going to go away later. After reading how important a real running shoe is, I bought a pair of Omni 11's yesterday. I wore them for the first time today and I felt no pain at all while running. They are extremely comfortable and give my weak overpronating feet amazing support. I don't know if this is only because I have never worn a proper running shoe or because this is truly an excellent product but I suspect the latter. Definitely recommend it.

My only gripe is that I have the White/Blue/Citron model and that combination of colors looks a bit silly. Buy the red ones if you can.

Last year when I decided to try running for the first time in my life, I was fitted for a pair of these from a local running store. I went from suffering horrific shin splints to being able to run 4-5 miles on the treadmill pain free. I used them in my daily boot camp classes for a year until it was obviously time to replace (lost the cushioning and grip). I decided to buy a new pair on Amazon since it was substantially cheaper than my local shop, and am not remotely disappointed. The only tip I'd offer is that if you have wider than average feet (like I do), you may want to get a wide pair. My running store sold me a standard width fit, which is what I re-ordered here, but they are kind of snug on me.

The Omni 11s are a great shoe. The only thing of note if you're used to the Omni 10s or 9s, is they seem lighter. Not quite the minimalist shoe experience, but definitely not the heft of the older models.

I bought these as my fist pair of shoes to go with my clipless pedals. I had tried on other shoes at the bike store and found them to be very uncomfortable. These, on the other hand, are superbly comfortable.

I had to problem installing the cleats-it only took about five minutes. These shoes are SPD (2 bolt pattern) compatible.

I usually wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes and I ordered a size 41. They fit perfectly.

Pearl iZUMi, you need to redo your sizing on these shoes! US size may be correct but the EU numbers are wrong! I'm an European and a solid 36 all my adult life. When I unpacked the shoes I could see they were too small even before trying them on. And I was right, they were really tight. Back these go to exchange for a 37. I'm hoping those will be the right ones. The shoes look legit and I'm expecting to get the right fit now to actually be able to try them on my spinning bike and have the final say. But please you nice cycling brand, you can do better sizing than this and save the costumers all the hassle of exchanging shoes all the time!

I'm a supinator, so I have a tendency to put a lot of pressure on the outer edges of my feet, causing bone bruises when I run farther distances.

A few years back, I did a 30K and ended up with a bone bruise on the bottom of my foot. A podiatrist verified this with an x-ray and sold me a $300+ pair of custom orthotics that did NOT work and caused new pains in my achilles, and I got blisters all over my feet in the arches and tops of both feet just walking in them... She then sold me another pair of orthotics that were over-the-counter and also did not work. I wasted a lot of money and didn't know what to do except stop running for the year.

The next year, I got a bone bruise on the bottom of my other foot. I went to a different podiatrist, who told me to try these. He sold them out of his office, and they really worked. I was able to finish my first marathon, and I'm grateful to him.

I was not sure what inserts to use for plantar fasciitis until my mother's foot doctor sold her the Powerstep ProTech. I bought a set from the doctor too, and they are wonderful. They fit in most of my sensible walking shoes. They will not fit in my "cute" shoes. I was so happy to find them on amazon.com for half the price the doctor charged (although the price has increased over $5 since I bought them last fall). This is a very comfortable shoe. I only run short distances (5-10k) and anywhere from 20-30 miles a week. I find them very light and great to run on all surfaces. I'm not sure about the life expectancy because I've only been using them for a short time, but I'm planning on ordering a couple more pairs. Really molds the feet too. And comfortable with or without socks.

I have narrow feet and have a tough time finding athletic shoes that fit. Of course, Amazon comes through once again, where traditional retailers fail.

These shoes are comfortable out of the box and unlike some shoes made to wear barefoot, you can easily slip these shoes on and the laces pull tight without much effort. They are 'tongueless' and I think that is why these are so comfortable...your feet nest in the shoe comfortably the interior is lined so there are no rough spots to cause blisters. The arch support is good and the shoe has nice padding despite the light weight.

Also, despite them being called 'winter' shoes, they don't seem to be any different from most running shoes.

Best Reebok Women's RealFlex Scream 2.0 Running Shoe Deals

Sooo....a little over a year ago, I bought 2 pairs of the Reebok Realflex Run. LOVED them. Did everything from running to weight lifting in them. My feet never hurt, I had found "my" shoes. After about a year, I went to go order a new replacement pair, and was SHOCKED to find that Reebok didn't make them anymore! BOO. Way to shoot yourself in the foot Reebok! I couldn't even find anyone on Amazon who was selling this discontinued model in my size, they were so popular. Totally bummed, I settled for a different brand of running shoe. My feet hurt even after I had broken them in. :(

Fast forward a month, I'm paging through my Women's Health magazine, and BAM! The RealFlex Scream 2.0. Looks very much like the first generation of Reebok RealFlex models. And there was hope! 2 days later (thanks Amazon Prime!), I try them on, and oh thank heaven! They're a little thinner/lighter feeling in the soles, but just as cushy as my beloved originals! The fit is pretty much the same as well. Same sole pattern, for sure (I did a comparison with my old shoes). They fit true to size. The interesting thing is that with some brands, you have to size up a half or whole size to accommodate for the fact that your feet will swell when hot, but Reebok seems to account for this in the sizing of their shoes. For example, I am a street size 7, I normally size up half a size in other shoe brands, but am still very comfortably a size 7 in Reeboks.

Needless to say, I'm keeping them. :) Given that I now know Reebok will discontinue models after a year or less, I may keep a pair I like from another brand in store just in case Reebok decides to discontinue these too, but for now....I am happy.

I use the ASICS Gel Kayano series as much as possible (I need a 2E and a "Stability+" shoe...they can be tough to come by) but like to change things up every so often. Apparently my feet were in process of growing when I bought 1260v2's back in early 2011. The size 12's were a bit too snug, but I chalked it up to warm temperatures & fully expected them to work well soon. I was very wrong. They continued to hurt, eventually causing my two big toenails to turn black & come off. Not fun. Long story short, I soon-after began buying size 13 NB shoes with much better results. Now I own 5 different NB models, and they all work splendidly. I gave the 12's away to a needy person and we are both the happier. Thus far, I'm truly enjoying these Blue/Green 1260v3's & may buy another pair in my not-too-distant future.

Discount Merrell Women's Barefoot Dash Glove Running Shoe

These are excellent once you figure out what size you need. I'd never tried Merrell brand shoes in my life, so it was a total guessing game ordering these online as I had to base my decision in regards to size largely on customer reviews (which I read a TON of). From what I could gather, these are supposed to fit your foot like a glove (apropos of its namesake, go figure). And I know these are meant to be worn barefoot; however, I purchased mine to wear for my daily brisk outdoor walk, and I'm also a sock-wearer. The reviews were helpful in that I kept seeing the suggestion to order a half size up if you don't plan on wearing them barefoot. That is an accurate statement as far as I can tell. Since I prefer wearing socks w/my shoes, I ordered an 8.5 even though my usual shoe size is a solid Women's 8. I'm so glad I heeded others' advice and went for the 8.5, because when they arrived and I slipped them on for the first time, I could immediately tell that they fit me just right--a size 8 in these, for me, would've had to be sent back and exchanged. In fact, I find that with the 8.5, I'm able to wear these with OR without socks, should I choose to go sock-less. I can't imagine that being the case had I gotten the size 8. They would've been "suction-cupped" to my feet, so there'd be no other alternative BUT going barefoot. I don't like that. And no wiggle room for sure; no allowance for foot-swelling, etc. (we all have those days). So, I know my whole review only covered the sizing issue, but I wanted to share my purchase experience w/people who may be debating whether they should order their normal size or not, and I thought this explanation might help to make their decision slightly easier. To sum up, it really comes down to what you plan on wearing them for, and whether your preference is for socks vs. no socks. As for the shoe itself, there are so many well-written reviews already posted on here--another reason I wanted to address the sizing matter in particular--but I will say that I'm thoroughly satisfied w/my purchase. I love these shoes; my first pair of Merrells and almost certainly not my last. I ordered the Lychee color by the way, and the orange/gray combo is even more attractive in real life. They're stylish enough to wear as a street shoe w/cuffed skinny jeans and a loose-fit tee. Bonus!

I bought these in the orange and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've never gotten so many compliments on any clothing item I've ever worn.

Yes, they are adorable and Merrell has been brilliant like Apple was with the early iPods in being bold and fun with colors.

I have a couple of pairs of the Pace Gloves. I do most of my running in a more traditional shoe but one at the lightest end of the spectrum, Mizuno Wave Riders. I found the Pace Gloves just a little too smooshy for my running since I am not trying to transition to anything more minimal. My intention was to wear them casually but also for the large amount of walking I do in my frequent travels. They are so compact and light I figured on trips I could do a little running in them to spare me from packing yet another pair of shoes, yet stay reasonably in shape. Aren't shoes always the dilemma when traveling light for us girls? These are like packing a pair of slippers.

When I got this new model, I immediately felt the difference from the albeit modest amount of additional support. With a shoe this light to begin with, it doesn't take much to make a difference. Reading other reviews of this product on other sites, it seems to be a love or hate thing, so I think it just has to do with how one's foot works with the firmer arch support. For me it was love at first insertion. They don't tax my shins and calves as much as the Pace Glove did on some all-day walking in Europe. I also mix them into my running routine now and then. It makes my legs feel stronger when I go back to the Mizunos. I just wore them on a 12 hour flight to Beijing where I am right now and it's the first time I didn't even bother taking my shoes off during the flight.

Finally, it's just back to adorable. Both models make my feet look smaller, so, say, with shorts or capris in the summer, you can wear a real shoe and not look clunky. And not have to wear socks, either.

I haven't washed them but trust the shrinkage someone mentioned isn't the result of putting them in the dryer, which I wouldn't dream of and which is certainly not advised. Instead of putting them in the machine, I've been just rubbing out the dirty spots with a rag, water and a little soap. No problems and they come clean easily.

I needed a pair of shoes that looked decent, were light weight and flexible so I could stow them in my luggage for travel if needed, but also would accomodate lots of walking and some bursts of activity with my agility dog. I don't run at all (except for brief sprints with the dog on the agility course), so I wasn't looking for a running shoe per se; I was just looking for something comfortable.

I should add I don't like to wear "real" shoes. I live in sandals (flip flops, Nike slides, birkenstocks), and hate it when the weather turns cold and I have to put something else on. I wear cowboy boots for "dress." I'm just not used to wearing real shoes, but knew I needed something. I went to a local store and tried things on--everything from walking shoes, to cross-trainers, to running shoes, to just plain old slip on shoes that looked decent. What I discovered was that "sneakers" had gotten high tech and weren't a good match for me anymore--all of them seemed to be stiff as boots, but with about three times the padding. If my foot wasn't exactly like the shoe was designed for, they shoes would feel off (often in only one foot!) They all felt horrible!

I was about to give up when I came across these. I like Merrell as a brand and they fit me well. My go-to winter "boots" are a pair of Merrell slip ons with shearling lining. So I tried these, not even knowing they were "barefoot" running shoes. I got my regular size (9) and slipped them on, and they felt great! It was just what I was hoping for: it felt like I was wearing slippers! There is enough padding in the heel so it feels like you're wearing something, but not so much too much padding. I loved how roomy the toe-box was. I walked around the store and decided to get them.

I haven't worn them without socks yet, because its cold where I live, but with socks, they are great, and I almost forget I have shoes on. Super lightweight, comfortable enough that I don't feel entirely "barefoot" but I also can feel the ground under my feet. I was delighted to learn, later on, that they have a water resistant coating too, so I don't have to worry about going out in the rain. Super comfortable, light weight, flexible, but also grippy--what more could I ask for? It's like barefoot, but better!

I have no doubts these would be great for running, but they are also great for just a general all around shoe. I love them! The only thing I don't like is having to tie my shoes--I hate that--but I can get some laces to fix that problem, too!

I love the Merrell barefoot line, this is my fourth pair. I have been using the pace glove, lithe glove, and pure train glove all year, for working, hiking, running. most of my running is on trails with the pace glove, but I wanted a shoe to wear during triathlons since the pace glove isn't that comfortable on pavement.

this shoe is very comfortable around my foot, it fits snugly and doesn't cause any sore sports. I was disappointed that it felt heavier and had a thicker sole than the pace glove. I did try on a vivobarefoot shoe and an innov8 one, they both felt lighter and had thinner soles, but the upper just wasn't as comfortable as the merrell dash glove.

I decided to keep this shoe to run races this year, but just hope that Merrell comes out with a lighter and thinner soled shoe to run on pavement.

After reading all the rave reviews this sounded perfect for my new walking shoe because I have a wide foot and Merrels are always the perfect fit for me. However in this design I needed a 1/2 size bigger for wiggle room and my toes were hitting the top. Otherwise the whole shoe felt great, very comfortable and don't let the light weight fool you, it does have decent arch support.

Cheap ASICS Men's GEL-Blackheath Field Shoe

I wear Asics for Fortitudes for running and everyday wear. I use the Asic 150 or 160 TRs for cross training and weight lifting. I've been looking for an Asic cleat for lacrosse. I wanted a low cleat because I had Achilles surgery and most mid and high top cleats irritate the area wear I had the surgery.

The Blackheath is exceptionally comfortable for me. It's light weight too. Most of our games are on Sport Turf fields so the short molded cleats are perfect. I suspect it would do well on a hard nature surface as well, but a longer cleat might be needed on a muddy field or a field with tall or thick grass. I think Asics makes a mid ankle cleat called the V Cut that may be better for other surfaces.

If you're looking for an alternative to a Nike (tend to be narrow) or a Warrior (made by New Balance) or even an Under Armour Cleat it's worthwhile to check these out.

My boys have played a lot of baseball, and this cleat has outperformed other popular cleats that they've worn. My son said that it's like putting on a shoe that's already broken in. Imagine a comfortable cleat! He also said that the arrangement of the spikes gave him more "push off" when running especially when stealing bases. It was a little pricier and harder to find, but it was worth it.

After many years of being unhappy with the lack of comfort found in my baseball and soccer cleats I finally decided that it was time to try something new. I went to every major sporting goods store in town and tried on all of their cleats...nothing satisfied me. I did a little research and came across a new (to me) category of shoes called field cleats or field shoes. I then went out on a limb and purchased the ASICS Blackheath not knowing what to expect, and fully anticipating that I had just wasted my money. Boy was I wrong!!! The shoes are extremely comfortable, and feel just like a regular shoe, perhaps with even more cushioning. I have worn them for the past few weeks for softball and can honestly say that I think they even have more traction that my prior pair of cleats. The only thing that I do not know at this point is whether or not the actual cleats are as durable. Even if I have to replace my shoes every single year I would still give the shoe a very high rating. Now I will be purchasing the same shoes for both of my children so that they can use them for soccer and baseball.
