love it in the first sight. true to size. I usually wear US 10W, This time I order US 10, it still have little rooms for my toe. Wear it over 4 hours, very comfortable. Light weight. Support for the foot is quite good. Colour is very sharp, love it !

My son has really wide feet. Sometimes I buy him an extra wide in New Balance shoes, but our last pair was a wide and were fine. These were not. They squished his pinky toe, and the Velcro straps wouldn't reach all the way across. If your kid occasionally takes an extra wide, these don't work. But they are nice shoes. My seven year old has big feet-size 7! It's very hard to find Velcro shoes for him that don't look "dorky." I guess we're shopping in the men's department now, and sticking to shoe laces.

I love these shoes for my 1 year old daughter! The size 3 is slightly larger than the size 3 TOMS she has, just for a size reference. I will order her more Sperrys for sure! The soles seem to have a bit less traction on them than some of her other shoes but overall, these are awesome!

These are great sneakers in terms of comfort, style (though I don't see my model here) and material.
I have a wide foot and these fit me great. I got a half size bigger by accident and to be honest there was not much of a noticeable difference between the two sizes.
Here is why I gave these 3 stars: They just don't last!!! And I mean they really don't last. I bought mine in May 2011. It is now October and the sole on the heel part (of both shoes) has holes. The rest of the shoe is fine. I don't/didn't wear these everyday and abuse the heck out of them. I would wear them maybe twice a week. I just walk in them and not incredibly long distances either!
If you want comfort and style get these sneakers but be advised they seem to be made for the type of situation where you wear them to a party that you get to by car which is parked only a few feet away.

--(2/2/2010: Update to review below: I contacted Amazon right after submitting this review. I never expected or had requested a refund from Amazon, having purchased these well over a year ago. I just wanted to know if they or the retailer had any warranty on these due to the premature wear of the studs and/or could I go back to the retailer I purchased these from for a resolution. Well, Amazon promptly replied back the same day that they would refund my full purchase price and emailed me the return shipping label as well as the return approval to include in the package. Amazon came through with flying colors on their dedication to customer support. This was a situation where I never expected a refund and Amazon stepped right up to offer me one. A well deserved 5 Star rating -for Amazon-. It's the very same reason why i typically buy from them over any other on-line retailer, both due to their great customer service as well as their very competitive prices. --
Bought these from Amazon in Nov 2008. Easy to adjust for fit and from shoes up to large boots and they stay on firmly without slipping off or out of position (the tread stays put where it needs to be). The big problem with these is that the studs seem of soft metal and wore completely flat in only one and a half winters of use. I don't wear these on asphalt, just around the backyard or driveway when we've had heavy snow that melted and then refroze. The studs have only seen ice, but, wore down far too fast for what I paid for them. I so wish the studs could be removed (un-screwed) and replaced since the rest of the rubber tread and straps are like new, but, they seem riveted into the sole. It would be easy enough to grind down the top of rivet to remove them if I can find a screw-in stud that would fit the hole the studs are in. This of course should not be needed to be done this soon and thus, I give the treads a 2 star rating (would probably give them 2 1/2 stars if I could) for poor durability and wear of the studs used in these to bite the ice,
Also the trails contain many rocks and some paved portions (cement and asphalt) which quickly wear the spikes. It would be good to have a cap or other device to snap on for these surfaces.

I bought these heavy duty non-slip shoes but after seeing them wear quickly and being difficult to fit on my partner's boots I found a great alternative, I bought some Maxigrip Ice studs () and installed them directly on my boots. They have a carbide bit that will not wear out and fits on all kind of boots and running shoes as you can un-installed them and reuse.Honest reviews on Men's Heavy Duty Non- Slip Ice Treads

I use these for hiking on wet clay surfaces. The performance is not good. The attachment design is very poor, as they constantly came off the boots I had to modify the attachment design. The bottoms caked with mud quickly, rendering them ineffective to their purpose indeed I fell more often than fellow hikers without them. They need a bottom design that makes it easy to release caked on mud and ice. Also the trails contain many rocks and some paved portions (cement and asphalt) which quickly wear the spikes. I'm a big fan of the Keen brand. They simply fit my feet with little fuss or thought, and I like the style. The KEEN Boston ll Shoe Men's and Keen MENS Truckee are two personal favorites from the past. The Austin may be my best Keen purchase yet a perfect blend of comfort and styling.
I typically have to size-up one-half size in Keens I'm a natural 11.5 (US) but have needed a 12 for all my previous purchases for the best fit. The Austin is different: I'm a straight-up 11.5.
I think that Keen has started to use cheaper materials based on other recent reviews and my own experience. I think the sound I heard was where the glue had never fully adhered to the foot bed and sole, so there was rubbing between the two layers. Never the less, I won't buy another pair of Keens, although my dad will probably be buried in his Keen newport H2 sandals.

I've walked miles on concrete in these shoes, and gotten no blisters or discomfort. I can't say that about my New Balance sneakers or Doc Martens. I have extremely wide and tall feet, so I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes, but these have been great. I like the way they look, too.Best Deals on KEEN Men's Austin Sneaker
I got these for my husband fro Christmas. He had worn Keen sandals previously and liked them. He is very picky about proper fit and proper arch support and his feet are very happy in these. I would recommend them especially for anyone with weak arches or anyone who stands for a large portion of the day.Honest reviews on KEEN Men's Austin Sneaker
I like the looks, wide toe box, comfort , light weight, and durability of the uppers on these shoes. The uppers take a beating and still look great. I have had three pairs and the soles on the second and third pair are not holding up like the first pair. The price came down too. Maybe Keen is going for high volume and lower quality. I use these for light construction work and casual wear and the soles are wearing faster and separating from the uppers at the glue line on the last two pairs. One reviewer said the old model was stitched and I believe it because I have no separation on the older pair. Listen Up Keen and change your methods or this guy is going shopping for another Brand. I would give these shoes 5 stars if the soles lasted more than six months. I normally get a year or more from other well made shoes.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for KEEN Men's Austin Sneaker
I have owned several pairs of different style of Keens over the years. This was my second purchase of these exact shoes, and I loved the first pair nearly literally to death. I wore the soles down to nearly nothing after two years of heavy wear daily walking on blacktop and in landscaped areas. I purchased a replacement pair and found that there was a squeak as I walked. Not just on linoleum, not just on hardwood, but on any surface other than grass or pine straw. I found that the source was not the material of the sole, but between the foot bed and the sole. I returned them thinking that it was a manufacturer defect. My replacement for those came next day from Amazon and I gave those a shot....same story. I decided that perhaps it just needed a wear in period, so I wore them for a couple of weeks, but the squeak never stopped. It became so aggravating that I decided to return them altogether and go back to pull-on boots for work.I think that Keen has started to use cheaper materials based on other recent reviews and my own experience. I am very critical when it comes to shoes. I actually think I have a running shoe addiction; some (like my wife) would call it a problem. In the past 12 months I have tried a few shoes and the collection in my closet includes: Saucony Peregrine, Saucony Kinvara, Brooks Cascadia 7, Salomon xt wings 2, New Balance Trail 110 and Merrell Trail Gloves. Out of this bunch the Trail Gloves worked best, however I was struggling to find a shoe to take to the trails for my 20+ mile runs as the TG's were just a little too light for me. Enter the Mix Master 2's, referred to me by my chiropractor who is also an ultra runner.
As with the TG's, these shoes feel like they were made for me and my feet. They are snug where I want them to be (around the heel) while giving me the space I need around the toes. They feel just right and they are light...something that turns out to be very important to me. For example, a 50 mi run would take about 80,000 total strides, meaning each shoe is lifted 40,000 times. There are 32,000 ounces in a ton, etc. Makes sense that every ounce saved counts, a LOT.
These shoes also have good ventilation I've gotten them wet while running and they dry out quicker than anything I've owned to date and they appear to be durable (no issues so far and I know the first generation Mix Master was redesigned to eliminate some of the durability concerns).
They also look good and they make me feel fast.
Bottom-line, I have decided that I am now a Merrell running shoe fan for life. If you are looking for a lightweight shoe that will provide enough cushioning to cover the long distances or provide a little more protection while still giving you a neutral and close to the ground feel, these are the shoes for you.
One thing to point out, I had to go one full size down on these, so beware if you're buying online. And don't get suckered into buying your running shoes too large too large can injure you just as much as too small and, no, your feet will not swell 1/2 an inch in length, no matter how far you run...
What I found:
My first run was sockless, with the inserts. ~5 miles with good rocky climbs/descents. The majority of my running prior to this was in Merrell Trailgloves, and I was shocked at how high off the ground I felt and how `cushy' the sole was. The 4mm drop was also strange to me, and I struggled a bit with some heel striking on the downhills. I quickly got over this, and now the shoe feels good underfoot, though I still have some issues with the stack height, I'm less steady on my feet with the extra height. Still, I was able to FLY downhill without fear of trashing my feet. And the soles gripped well going back up.
Now I have found that socks are necessary, but I removed the insert. I can feel the rocks underneath, but only that they are present. The whole shoe is a bit more flexible that the MT101, and rides nicely.
My only problems have been that the slight point to the toe of the shoe puts some pressure on my BIG TOES, which really only becomes an issue after 10 miles. At that point it starts becoming distracting, and heading toward mild pain. I don't think these will work well for me as very long distance shoes, but I have done 20 miles without issue. The more downhill in the run, the more an issue (and the 20 miles was the Shut In trail race, or all uphill.)
Also, I should point out that the cleats will grab mud and hold onto it. My second run in the shoes was through some of the sticky stuff, and the shoes were much heavier after the run.
The soles look good with only a little wear showing in my typical wear pattern. The upper is typical of Merrell, and I expect the shoes to last a long while.
At this time the left shoe has a frayed spot above the big toe joint. This happens because: the interior of the shoe contains a plastic mesh with holes all over. I suspect the holes over the joint allow the plastic mesh to crease and rub on itself when the foot flexes; causing the mesh to fray.
Not sure how to fix this, but way disappointed, guessing these shoes will be destined for the work bin sooner rather than later. I would NOT recommend these shoes as I question their durability, and I have purchased Merrell shoes in the past, so I trusted the brand.
-Pavement
-Hard clay
-Sand
-Mud (both slick and sticky)
-Grass
-Stones (both rocks/boulders and loose skree)
-Soft loose soil (wooded trails)
-Water
-Loose leaf litter
Although these are specifically described as trail shoes, that's what I bought them for. I've run several miles over two separate trail systems. One is through a swampy flood plain that has a wide variety of slippery trail surfaces. The other is on bluffs above a different river and is composed of steep rocky climbs, descents and uneven trail surfaces. These shoes have been extremely comfortable and have held up well. The only surface that has given me issues is loose wet leaf litter. These aren't as aggressively treaded as some other shoes I've run in (specifically the New Balance Men's MT110 Trail Running Shoe)and the cleats aren't deep enough to penetrate the leaves and provide positive traction. That was why I originally though to give them a four. However, after putting several more miles in on some very severe terrain I've changed my mind. They've proven to be quite grippy and have impressed me quite a bit.
The toe box is very roomy which is great for me. My 2nd toe is longer than my big toe and this has caused me to injure my second toe with other shoes in the past--this hasn't been an issue with the Mix Masters.
The gussets keep sand and debris out of the shoe, and they shed water very well. Rocks underfoot haven't been an issue and I've thoroughly enjoyed them.
I'd recommend these for any type of outdoor running.

I keep 2 pairs of trail running shoes. The first, my daily runner, is to be flat, highly flexible and with a very thin sole. The second pair is used for long (>20miles), rocky trails where I have found I require a bit more rock protection. I wore out a pair of NB MT101s in this second role, and needed a new pair of shoes for an upcoming race. The Mix Master II appeared to be a good fit, and I have logged ~200 miles in them now. What I found:

I purchased these shoes the third week of March in 2013, and have never wore them for running, I have another pair of favorite shoes for that. These shoes are worn at the office (I know, casual....but hey the job pays well and I'm LUCKY!!!!) Given the shoes are less than month old and have been worn less than 2 dozen times I'd expect more.At this time the left shoe has a frayed spot above the big toe joint. This happens because: the interior of the shoe contains a plastic mesh with holes all over. I suspect the holes over the joint allow the plastic mesh to crease and rub on itself when the foot flexes; causing the mesh to fray.

Honest reviews on Merrell Men's Mix Master 2 Minimalist Running Shoe
I'm not a barefoot runner but have evolved into more of a minimalist. I was looking for a trail shoe to rotate with my New Balance MT101s and my Minimus MT10s. I wanted a shoe that would be comfortable for longer runs and for days my feet just needed a break. What I got in the Merrell Mix Master 2 was a shoe that could do it all. It's light enough for shorter, faster runs but protective and comfortable enough for the long haul. The ride is soft and forgiving for a shoe of this low profile but definitely not mushy. I can't say enough about the rounded toe box. It's roomy but not sloppy, especially for my pinkie toe that rubs in many other shoes. The lugs are aggressive enough for technical terrain, loose gravel or muddy conditions yet are still comfortable for hard packed dirt. The overall fit is snug enough to lock in your foot on uneven surfaces yet not restrictive. I would be comfortable using this shoe for any distance on the gnarliest of trails. I've already been using them on my favorite local trails but can't wait to get them on the single track Ice Age Trails nearby. Simply put, this is the best trail running shoe I've ever worn and I've tried many since I first discovered the Mudroc 290. The only modification I would like to see in future models is that the last be a tad wider at the arch for added support on longer runs. As far as the negative reviews below, they are referring to the original Mix Master which had problems with the upper but was quickly corrected and reissued as the Mix Master 2. Just compare the colors with the colors on the Merrell website to be sure you're getting the new version as some retailers are still selling the old model but that's no fault of Merrell. Great job Merrell. I hope this shoe is around for a long time.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Merrell Men's Mix Master 2 Minimalist Running Shoe
These are excellent shoes. When I first thought of reviewing them I was going to give them a four-star rating (I'll come back to that), but after putting some more miles on them I've decided that I love them. I almost exclusively run technical trails but sometimes there is some pavement on the way to the trail head. Surfaces I've covered so far:-Pavement

Let me start by saying that I am NOT a runner, so this review most likely won't help those that are. So for all I know what I am finding to be a problem, is not one for the serious athlete.
This shoe is quite comfortable. It is light and flexible. It feels a bit large on my foot and I think I should have gotten the 7.5 instead of the 8, but the 8 is what I usually take in Reebok's. I've been a Reebok fan for ages ever since I was able to be more athletic than I can be now.
This shoe forces my foot to tilt outward a bit and I am a bit afraid that I am going to twist an ankle if I'm not careful. I certainly hope that a good running shoe is supposed to force your foot into that position, if so then I would have rated this even higher. It also seems to stretch a bit as the day goes on so what started out as a little loose feels even a bit looser at the end of the day.
I found the extreme wave in the sole of the shoe to be comfortable for long distance walking I don't know why that should be, but it just is!

I have the most miserable time finding shoes that work for me, that I have to start looking about a year before I'm going to need shoes in order to find them in time. I stumbled across some of these on sale at a local store and tried them on for fun. They are so nicely padded, and it feels like the heel is cupped somewhat, which takes the pressure off the bottom of the heel. I really love them. They were comfy from the start, and have only become more so with a little time. I don't use them for running, but I do walk in them a lot. I love taking my new flat wallet out when making purchases in stores, etc. I've already had several comments about how striking it is. I do wish it had more room for all the credit and membership cards I carry.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for WOMEN FLAT WALLET CLUTCH BY DESIGNSK

Love my 5 fingers Shoes ! Get Compliments all the time when wearing them. Took awhile to get them,, but worth the while.Liked these shoes. They are very comfortable. A little learning curve putting them on but once you master that you are good to go. Good quality.

It can be hit or miss when purchasing shoes on line. I knew these would run a bit small so I order a 1/2 size larger than normal and they were perfect. Had my first long run in them the other day and no discomfort what so ever. They are also very stylish, which is always a bonus.
The shoes are light and offer fair underfoot protection for off road. When the going gets muddy I'm looking for something with more tread.(...like the Saucony Peregrine).

I already had Kinvara 3 hoes for road running and love them. I hoped that the KInvara TR2 in the same size would be a similar fit but the toe box cuts into a narrower fit on the trail shoe. It's still OK, but for my broad foot not as good as the Kinvara 3.The shoes are light and offer fair underfoot protection for off road.
