Great shoe, however I think I am going to try cumulus or nimbus asics next time. I put about 500 miles on the equation 5s and it really beat the heck out of them. I'm up to 50-60 miles a week and I'm not sure the Equation's really hold up as good for that type of mileage compared to the Kayano's and the higher end Asics. That being said for my wide feet (4E) these guys are comfortable as can be! I raced a half-marathon first time wearing them and my feet felt great. I may just grab another pair or try the 7s if they are out in a few months and wear them as racers this winter, since they are lightweight and 4E flats are basically non-existant.

The Asics Equasion 6 running shoes I purchased recently are a big step up from the Equasion 5's. Don't get me wrong; I liked my Equasion 5's and ran in them a full season. But it took a couple of weeks before my feet didn't fall asleep occassionally when I wore them. Maybe it was a simople adjustment period, since I used to wear Nike, but I expected more of the same with Equasion 6's and literally could have put them on new and ran a race -they're that comfortable. Love them.

Overall i like them especially for the price, howeveri have approximately 30 running miles on them and they still don't feel broken in completely. Although they are getting better wih each run.

Well constructed, comfortable. I typically wear an 11 4E, but needed 11.5 in this model. The exchange was a little complicated, but it worked out in the end. The deal of ordering from RoadRunner Sports is not a good one. Returns take $9 from you with nothing to show for it.

$59.42 and I think a great deal. I got a size 14 and actually ordered these first ASICS Men's GEL-Neo33 Running Shoe and they were too tight, in case you were comparing. I actually have never worn Asics before, as I have been strictly Nike (air max) in the past, but they are way too expensive now, and I honestly can't tell much of a difference between the gel and the air, although the little difference in support does take a little getting used to. These fit great and are very comfortable. I wish the very top lace hole was located in a different spot for a tighter top fit, but i'm sure that's a personal preference. Great color (they definitely are a shiner slickier gray than I thought, and so far I have only worn these on the elliptical and walking to work, but they are working out great for me.

first say that the Amazon service was incredible, send this package to the Christmas season in two days is really impressive. The package and its contents arrive in perfect condition.

Now go into the question, shoes are very comfortable, good arch support, compared to other shoes of this brand forefoot area felt a bit tight, but nothing out of the ordinary in a new shoe. I ran with them about 9 miles and are great I can not imagine when they are more adjusted to my feet, maybe 30 miles more write a new update.

In short if you are an athlete of normal weight, with medium or high arched feet, with mild/moderate pronation problems this can be an excellent training shoe.

and again I give opinion on this excellent shoe, one of the better purchases I've made, well cushioned without being soft, built to last, I recommend that if someone wants to buy and ask for the extra width that are a bit narrow in the forefoot area, nothing annoying, but if you can buy much wider, much better, do it without fear Saucony makes shoes last rather narrow and 2e is not as loose as 2e in new balance

i really like these running shoes; lightweight and comfortable. almost my entire exercise group bought a pair, and others mention how comfortable they are...good traction, and no wearing-in period required for these, no issues with blisters as i often have.

I am a 28 yo with a history of knee injuries, over-pronator, and I love to run. I have not run outside for a few years, because I fear more injuries. I have decided to try again, but for this I needed a really solid, supportive, shock absorbing shoe, because I won't risk more months of physical therapy. This is the very best I found! I have compared it with the Saucony Stabil CS2 (too flexible, too light, did not seem shock absorbent enough, also too wide in the toe box) and the Brooks Addiction 10, which is a solid shoe, but just wasn't as comfortable as the Aetrex. It does run a bit big (I am normally a size 6 in running shoes, and got this one in a size 5, to fit perfectly). The shoe is very comfortable, and my knees feel great after a long run outside. Running in these shoes makes me feel invincible!

I used to include jogging in my workouts for years but when I reached my mid 30s, I had issues with not only my knees having sharp pains but more shin splints and soon after, aching in my heels and arches. I went to 2 different shoe speciality places and both are saying different things and recommend different shoes. One recommends Saucony for me and the other Aetrex. My last purchase, I thought I'd give the Aetrex X532 a try. I was told that I'm a size 8XW in shoe size however I was concerned that from the start, these shoes were way too 'loose'. The shoe specialist insisted that I had to get used to them because I was simply wearing the 'wrong' size and shoe for so long that I had to adjust to what my feet needed. Well, a year later they are still too loose!

Now at 40yrs old, I started working out again after recovering from health issues and regardless if I use these for an aerobics class, jog / run in these, I find that they slide in the heel too much. Granted they have PLENTY of toe box space the most I've EVER had...I can spread my toes out like a hand easily in there. Now I'm that ready to really start running consistently, I am desperately trying to find the 'right' shoe for me.

Years ago, I wore New Balance then discovered Saucony Omni shoes and stuck to that model for about 10yrs. (each version changes a smidge)...

Although I think I could wear these in a size 8wide vs 8xw, I don't believe that it will address the way the heel fits. Since there is no way to adjust the heel (vs the front portion of your foot) I'd say this particular model is best for those with thicker / wider HEELS. If you'd like to consider aesthetics as part of your options, this is in no way an 'attractive' shoe. It's wide, bulky and very orthopedic looking.

In closing although I asked for a running / jogging shoe, I think I was sold what she could fit me into as these are an EXTREMELY heavy and VERY wide shoe in comparison to Saucony and New Balance brands. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears!!

As a long running fan and user of the Adidas Predator line, I feel these cleats don't event deserve to have the Predator branding on them. I still have my old pair of Powerpulse Predators to compare these to and the build and material quality of this latest version doesn't even compare.

It almost seems like Adidas decided to pass the responsibility of designing this latest version of the Predator to an intern or maybe decided to off shore the design of the shoes.

I have been such a fan of the predators that I have tried everything in my power to love these shoes. I have continued to persist for almost 3 months but they are simply awful. The allow water in (something I never experienced with the kangaroo leather on by previous predators). So much water in fact that my Mi Coach sensor had water inside it and stopped working (until I guess it dried out).

I can't cut the same in these. I feel gapping between the sockliner and the sole when I'm wearing these and when I take them up I typically find the sickliner has slide up the side of the boot and is warped. The Powerpulse Predator's I had contained a notch where the sockliner sat in a groove in the sole and so there was never any sliding. I've also noticed the pretty blue shoe laces expand when they get wet (and so I have to re tie the laces after they've gotten wet-seems like that would be something easy to test and fix (assuming that Adidas ever tested these or solicited any feedback).

I could go on-and-on but I think you get the message. These shoes are simply substandard and represent a flagrant disregard by Adidas to their established customers. I have been a long standing fan of all things Adidas. So much so that I have ordered a pair of the new Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 cleats as I hear they are a closer resemblance to the original Predators. However, I am close to turning my back on Adidas cleats and switching to one of the up and coming brands that actually care about their product and the needs of their customers.

The biggest problem I had with this was the back heel, which I think is too stiff and too high. It digs right into my Achilles tendon, so bad that I could barely walk the next day. Also got some big blisters from it, but I think it was due to the shoe being a bit too big. I have always worn size 10, incl with last generation Addidas predator (I went through 4 pairs pf them over the yrs and absolutely loved them), but for some reason, these size 10 were too big. they are also rather long and narrow, which increases chance of ankle inversion sprains due to poor lateral support.

They looked good, and felt very light, but they need to be sent back.

We bought this for our six year old daughter as it is a color that is allowed at her school. It seems to be very difficult to find navy blue tennis shoe that meets the criteria & that my daughter liked. She has been wearing this shoe for about week & just loves it--it fits and is comfortable. We bought it 1/2 size smaller than normal--a 1.5 instead of a 2 that she usually wears, and that seems to be perfect. It was a bit high priced, but if it continues to stand up & the odor guard continues to work as well as it has so far, it is worth the price. (Being an active child, our daughter goes through cheaper shoes rapidly, especially with a dress code at school.)

My daughter is very picky about comfort when it comes to her clothes and shoes. When she was 5, I took her to a local kids' shoe store and she tried on every pair of athletic shoes they had in her size. She liked these the best. That was several years ago and we have been buying them here ever since. She wears them every day, and I have a very hard time getting her to wear anything else (sandals, dress-up shoes) even for special occasions. These are comfortable, lightweight, solid shoes. I hope they are always available! I feel good letting her wear them because they are high quality.

This is our third pair of this sneaker for good reason -my daughter wears each pair until she outgrows it, and the shoes are still going strong even when that happens.

Important things to note:

1) These shoes run large, but not as much as some Tsukihoshi styles. My daughter currently wears a 13.5-1 youth size, and a size 1 of this shoe offers a TON of growing room. In fact, she can still squeeze into the size 12.5 of this shoe but will wear a 1 comfortably, especially with thicker socks.

2) These shoes are machine washable! They do well through many, many washes. I leave them on top of the washer to dry for a day or two after each wash, and they look great after a wash. No funky crunchiness or size changing like some kids' "washable" shoes.

3) If your kids like to wear shoes without socks, as mine always seem to prefer, these will develop that certain stinky foot odor. That's why machine washability is so key! Fortunately, washing helps get the odor out very well.

This is my second pair....the first pair are still going (after 3 years of abuse) just the grip has worn out. Please note, I dont use them as trail running shoes, I prefer others. I use them as a general casual walking/hiking shoe. Great for winter, feet stay dry, extremely comfortable and well supported, the lace up system is super. Very rugged and look great. In fact the positives of this shoe are also a negative as a trail running shoe. It really depends on the clmate. I live in a warm climate, I used my first pair once on a trail run and all their pros became negatives. 1/ goretex not only keeps the wet out, but the sweat in. 2/ too heavy for trail running ....prefer much lighter shoes.3/ Sole is not very flexible, so tires out feet and calves on firm surfaces. That said, the fact I initially bought these shoes for trail running and have bought another pair speaks volumes.

I am on my fourth pair of these. They are my shoe.

I chose this rating because they are very light, breath well and stylish.

The amount of time that shoes last vary a great deal on everyone individually. For me they last about a year.

I wear these shoes year around because they are ideal for my job as well as recreation.

I have had the mesh and the non-mesh versions. These are the partially more expensive non-mesh.

They feel comfortable and easy to tighten.

CONS:

traction wears faster than I'd like.

After while the toe splits from the rubber base below. But that might be just because I am hard on shoes.

I really like these trainers thus far. They're exceptionally comfortable but require a period of adjustment. You should give your feet and body several weeks to get accustomed to the trainers. These shoes are great incredibly comfortable and if you have bad ankles knees hips low back they are great I have purchased them for my 80 year old grandfather and my 52 year old both retired military with joint issues and they are back to moving around and feeling much better and seem to be progressively improving. I wear mine every wear and exercise in them I have two pairs for daily use and gym use no complaints and tell everyone I know to at least try them. I am a size 14 with a wide foot the fit perfect out of the box and I am a heavier person and the seem to be holding up great. I got this pair for my daughter, she's a pole vaulter for her university. She tells me that the shoes added that extra bounce that she wasn't getting from her old spikes (for sprinters). I selected this pair for her after reading other buyers' reviews, most of them positive with some even stating that these are better the Nike TJ. My daughter confirms it, and she did set a new personal best. It's very difficult to find the right PV spikes in our country, thank God for online shopping!

Update: my daughter won her first gold medal this year during the 16th Unigames held in Roxas City, Philippines and set the new national junior record last October 27, 2011. Proper spikes make a big difference!!

I've used these shoes for all the jumping events and they work as i want them too and more. In detail, the compression spikes and the spike plate almost make you automatically run through the runway in a way you stand tall and bounce into a great transition to a jump. I can compare these to the Nike's TJ because I've felt the difference that these shoes are tremendously lighter. If you hit a wall for any jumping events with sprinting spikes, i suggest jumping spikes since they help ALOT in performance and so you don't injure yourself once you know you can hit the high marks.

I love these shoes. It says running but they are a tennis shoe, not running. I own a pair and they are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have owned. I wear a 9AA and these fit very well so I think they are best suited for narrow feet. They are lightweight and have good arch support. I cannot say enough good things about them. I hope Adidas continues to make them as I find as soon as I love a pair of shoes, they change them! They are not the most beautiful as they are kind of shiny leather like patent but the new ones which are not on sale are all white and look to be more attractive. For tennis, I choose comfort. I have always had an issue of my toes pushing into the front of the shoe when I run hurting my toenails. These shoes do not do that, I guess, because they fit better and narrower.
