This is a gorgeous, stylish shoe. Typical Ecco quality and value for the price. The yak leather is supple and beautiful. The shoe fits like a ballet slipper (I assume, never having actually worn one)...your feet feel in close contact with the ground. I think younger guys would really like it. For a middle-aged man like me, though, it lacks lateral support and I think it would be tiring to wear for long periods.

Nike Women's Free 5.0 V4 Review
I just got these today and was sooooo excited!! When I saw the shipping box, it showed the shoes came from China...that made me very skeptical. Then when pulled the shoes out, the fabric on the instep of the inside of both shoes was coming off. The glue wasnt holding it on very tight...a bit sloppy...like someone had done it themselves (i.e. not NIKE) I wouldnt have bought them if I knew the seller was not in the U.S.

These are very good lookig shoes. I am easying into the minimalist approach and so far so good... just take your time. I run 10 miles on a weekend with regular cushion shoes but i do run on these New Balance Minimus during the week for 30-45 min once or twice a week.

This was my second choice of shoe. Online, I liked the colors but when I got them in the mail I did not like it. Also, they fit too small so order a half a size bigger. I did not like that I could feel the ground.

This is like the worst shoe I have bought, EVER. While I do agree that it is super comfortable, it is due to the fact that it has very soft rubber. It literally wore out in 2 weeks. On top of that, the glue that binds the parts is really bad. So, don't get surprised if you find parts of the sole in your room/work. I was not expecting such a poor build quality from the amount I paid for it. DON'T BUY THIS. I am going to avoid AVIA and stick to regular brands like adidas,nike etc for shoes.

This shoe had awesome tread on the bottom, and I used them for a little running and hiking, but I didn't like the feel on the inside. The shoe fits well and provides great support. I am a bigger guy (6'2" 300lbs) and this shoe is lightweight but provieds the cushioning I need. I use it for everyday use and walking. I liked them so much I bought two more pair at this great price.

I teach a kickboxing class 2-3 times per week and take a circuit training class 3x a week, both of which involve a lot of high impact moves. I started experiencing heel pain 5 months ago and have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I did everything the doctor ordered, changed my shoes and started to wear the Gel Intensity 2. Heel pain is now gone!! I even did a 2-day step aerobic instructor training in these shoes and did not experience any pain the entire time. that's TWO days of jumping on and off a step!! Last night, I stupidly taught class in my non-Asics cross-trainers solely for their looks and guess what? The heel pain came back!! Needless to say, I'm going to continue to wear my Asics and retire those other shoes. I do wish these came with more color options (hence the 4-star rating). If the Gel Intensity comes out with more colors, I will be one of the first to buy more!

These are great cross training shoes. I got them to do Jillian Micheal's Body Revolutions and they offer great support for the jumping and training you do. I've worn the gel intensity for several years replacing every 6 months for aerobic dance. This shoe is nothing compared the original! The sole is shaped like a running shoe instead of a training shoe which will be a problem for lateral movements. The lacing system isn't as effective and the collar is cumbersome almost like a shoe within a shoe. The only positive comment I can make is the good arch support. I looked at the reviews of many pairs of cross trainers before deciding on these. First of all, I really like Asics. I had a pair I wore for step aerobics and other fitness classes for several years and the tread on the shoes was barely touched. My feet pronate and require a lot of stability so I don't injure my ankles or knees. This shoe offers a lot of lateral support and arch support but at the same time a lot of cushioning. They are very comfortable and my feet don't hurt at the end of a workout. There is enough room in the toebox for my feet to swell during a workout. Unlike other stability shoes, this one is not too heavy. As for the fit, I found it to be a true fit, even with the ortholite sockliner for moisture management. However, I recommend that you try them on and experience walking in them before purchasing them just to be sure. Finally, I find them to be attractive shoes and I had had my share of compliments on them. I found these shoes hard to come by and I am considering buying another pair before they are replaced by a newer version.
Review of Brooks The Wire Track Spike
My son runs for a major university and wore out his previous pair. They are not supplied by the school so "Mom and Dad" get them for him. Lightweight and well made, top shelf product, for sure. This pair came from England, so hard to find, and once they arrived, he was again a happy camper. Shipping time would be my only concern.
The Bad:
The heel is very soft and low to the ground, feels lower than zero drop in the heel, only complaint. The feeling goes away when you start running.

I went to Road Runner Sports, tired on many pro-rated track shoes. The raved about Nike Zoom Victory shoes were not that comfortable, too hard in the heel and feels sloppy on my feet, don't even try their zoom 6 or 6H what ever their mid distance shoe is. This Brooks shoe was given to me by store staff as just one to try on. I found myself comparing all other shoes to this one that day because this shoe is soo comfy ! Not to mention, if it is good enough for Amy Hastings, Wire 2 same sole, then it's good enough for me.The Bad:

I purchased a pair of these sandals in blue and white two years ago. When they began to wear out, I knew I wanted another pair. I was happy to see that the color selection has increased. Some reviewers say that they hurt their feet. I found this to be true when I first started wearing them. I therefore wore them with socks for a short time, and then was able to wear them with no socks with complete comfort. The knobs forming the upper surface are contoured to provide a comfortable arch. this shoe is well made, easy to get on and easy to wash. I will say that I think my son needed a wide..the standard shoe seems to be a smidge too tight and he is actually a pretty small kid. overall this shoe will get tons of wear, it goes with everything both casual and dressy. I think these shoes are adorable on my son, but they were a little on the small side in my opinion. He probably could have used a half size up in order for him to get a little more wear out of them. I also ordered the wide because my son has a wide foot, but it isn't quite wide enough. We struggle a little bit to get these on, but we always get them on! I just hate that he won't be able to wear them very long. I love the style, love the colors. He doesn't try to take them off, but I don't think he would be able to get them off anyway. When I first tried these on I thought they were pretty cool. After a few steps I started hearing and feeling a clicking noise coming from the right shoe. This was annoying and did not seem normal so I returned the shoes and received a full refund. I am sorry to say that this was my first pair of these type of shoes and the experience has turned me away from these. I also thought the shoes were a bit heavy for their size and clunky. Just my opinion
