Review of Brooks The Wire Track Spike

My son runs for a major university and wore out his previous pair. They are not supplied by the school so "Mom and Dad" get them for him. Lightweight and well made, top shelf product, for sure. This pair came from England, so hard to find, and once they arrived, he was again a happy camper. Shipping time would be my only concern.

I went to Road Runner Sports, tired on many pro-rated track shoes. The raved about Nike Zoom Victory shoes were not that comfortable, too hard in the heel and feels sloppy on my feet, don't even try their zoom 6 or 6H what ever their mid distance shoe is. This Brooks shoe was given to me by store staff as just one to try on. I found myself comparing all other shoes to this one that day because this shoe is soo comfy ! Not to mention, if it is good enough for Amy Hastings, Wire 2 same sole, then it's good enough for me.

The Bad:

The heel is very soft and low to the ground, feels lower than zero drop in the heel, only complaint. The feeling goes away when you start running.
