Got a very good deal elsewhere, so my opinion may be enhanced by the bargain, but wow what a comfortable, quality shoe. Stiff carbon sole and a really comfortable single-unit synthetic leather upperprobably my favorite latch/tightening-system of the several I've tried.

I'm new to clipless so I did a lot of in-store research. I tried Giro's 200-range shoe and it was comparable in every waycomfort, quality, style, carbon and latch system, tried Specialized's 160-range and the toe box was way too tight for my hobbit feet, every style of Serfas was uncomfortable, then fell in love with the Bontrager RL at 175 because of the wide toe box but on sale, or at another vendor you can get the Elite 3 for about that, and the PI styling is much better imo. Works with Speedplay zero, latch system is excellent, snug quality upper, carbon sole, and dead-sexy = highly recommend.

I recently purchased these shoes and after just a few runs I can already tell they will be my new shoe. I have always liked the idea of a minimalist shoe but after straining the tendons on the top of my foot running in Vibrams I went back to regular running shoes. After two years I developed back pain and realized I needed to refine my running stride to land more on my toes rather than my heel. Well, regular old running shoes didn't cut it for me anymore. The front of my foot would start to go numb after just a few miles and the tendons in my feet started becoming more and more sore. So, I knew I needed a minimal shoe but still needed support in my arch and on the top of my foot. These shoes are perfect!! They are comfy, light, support me where I need it and no more numb toes!

I purchased these from a local running store because I was nervous about not getting to try them on first. I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for a couple years now with much success. I got them at the advice of my doctor because I had been having extreme trouble with plantar fasciitis. I was nervous about switching because I've been so successful with the adrenalines. I am so delighted with the change! The PureCadence has a dropped heal, which is intended to make the foot strike midfoot and give you a smaller, more natural stride. I felt the change in my calf muscles after my first run, but now I don't notice any difference at all. I feel the lower heel even keeps my plantar fascia at a better stretch and is improving. I think my speed is also improving in these shoes. I am not losing any of the support, but the shoe is lighter and more natural.

My only regret expressed to Brooks, and word of caution to users, is that they do not come in a wide width. My feet are rather squared on the end and borderline too wide for regular width in Brooks shoes, and while there is plenty of room in the toe box for them, there was a small place on the instep of the shoe that after running several miles began to rub my instep on my right (and wider) foot. Now that the blister has healed I have a little callous there, so I no longer have the issue. But be warned if you have wider feet, these may not work for you. I hope Brooks will make a slightly wider PureCadence in the future.

On a shallower note, I really like the bold color choices in this line.

I bought this shoe because I own 2 pairs of the Brooks Pure Cadence, both of which I ran marathons in. I just took my Pure Cadence 2 for a 9 mile run and they are not nearly as comfortable as the original shoe. There seems to be added arch support which gave me blisters in my arches (something the Pure Cadence didn't do) and it feels like they are a different material on the inside of the shoe which makes my foot slip around a bit more. Its still a WONDERFUL running shoe, I just like the original Pure Cadence better.

I've been a big fan of Hi-Tec for several years, and have owned several pair of their hiking boots. This is the first pair of trail runners I've purchased from them, having just worn out my New Balance.

Pro: Light weight, good support, good construction, and good traction. Con: Narrow fit; foot bed a bit stiff.

I have a narrow foot, and this shoe gives me adequate room. Anyone with other than a narrow foot will need to go with wider options if available. Right now its winter and I'm wearing mid-weight wool socks. Heavier weight would be too tight. In summer, a lighter pair of sock will make for a better all around fit. I've worn them now for nearly a month and they are more comfortable than when I first put them on. I still might choose to replace the sock liner with something more comfortable.

Bottom Line: There are better trail running shoes out there. The company's website does not list them, so any you buy will be closeouts. If you can pick them up for $50 or so, and you have a narrow foot, be a bit patient and they'll probably work for you. If you want something very comfortable right out of the box, go elsewhere.

Pretty stylish and comfortable. Seem kind of squishy with less support than I'm used to with Asics.

The sole has deep creases on the ball of the foot (guess it's supposed to help shoe flexibility) which decrease surface area contact with the ground when running on hard surfaces. I feel like the shoes don't grip the ground when sprinting. Like I'm slipping. I'm a bit disappointed.

UPDATE (3 months use): These are strictly trail shoes. They are NOT made for running on flat, wet surfaces; Like running on ice or snow. Terrible.

BUT, when running on grass or rough trail, they do well. They remind me of the old football cleats; made for the field, but try running on asphalt with football cleats. That's what these Puma's are like in wet weather.

If buying for field or dirt trail running; go for it. If buying for casual jogging on hard surfaces in all weather; avoid.

I just started getting into races and after doing a 5k then a 10k the next weekend, my feet were hurting. I've heard a lot of great things about shoes like this and "minimalist" running so I thought I'd give it a try. I just got them today and have already jogged over 2 miles in them!

I chose these because they were a) cute, b) inexpensive, c) had reviews I felt I could trust.

I read that they fit kinda big and I usually wear an 8.5-9 so I trusted the reviews and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly! Also, my second toe is longer than my big toe and that is not a problem with these shoes. The pinky & ring(?) toes go together so you don't have an awkward fit for the two. It actually gives a lot of freedom to have the two together.

I didn't want them to stink, so I also ordered a 6-pack of "RSG Hosiery Men's & Women's Toe Socks 6-Pack." Not sure yet how I feel about them, but they did the job and were thin enough to fit well with these shoes.

So I got the shoes & tried them on immediately. It took a little work to get them on because you have to guide your foot just right to get your toes in properly and the opening doesn't open very far. As another reviewer mentioned, there isn't a tab on the heel to help pull the shoe on, which is somewhat bothersome. However, I didn't find any of these factors to be a big enough nuisance to make me not want to wear them.

They are extremely comfortable and very supportive. It's like being barefoot, but with a big winter glove on your foot. Movement is slightly restricted since they are a bit thick and they have a solid sole, but there's still plenty of movement. While they don't actually lace, they have elastic laces that can tighten up pretty well.

I would definitely recommend these, especially if you are new to toe shoes like I am. They are extremely comfortable and natural feeling. I can see myself wearing these shoes as often as possible, especially because I like being barefoot at home (and recently broke my toe & had to get 6 stitches in it because I was barefoot & dropped a huge piece of broken glass on my toe). The price is great and I will most definitely be ordering more!

I read all the reviews and was hesitant to heed the warning 100% but I did end up ordering the shoes a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. I JUST received the shoes right now and put them on... they fit really tight even for being a 1/2 a size larger than I usually wear. I own a pair of Circas and Vans, both that are 11 and fit perfect. These 11.5 DCs are too tight around the foot.

I would do like other reviews say, ORDER A SIZE LARGER.

These shoes should really come with a warning.

Aside from that, they look good.

Now as a veteran in skateboarding, I've had a lot of experience with shoes but this time was particularly interesting because these are my first pair of shoes I've ordered online and my first pair of DC's.

I always had a thing against them because I thought they were a poser brand and always had that stigma but that I think came from just being a teenager and wanting the cool skate gear. I think as shoes, aesthetically are great looking or otherwise I wouldn't have bought them and thank GOODNESS I read a review that said order a size larger than normal because they do run small.

So for example I wear 11's and this time I had to order 12's and they fit perfectly. Now as far as grip of the sole I'm pleasantly surprised. Now as a skilled skateboarder I don't expect these to last too long because I do skate really hard on a daily basis but I'm more than happy with this purchase, for the money, for the look, they were a hit for me.

Reviews of ASICS Men's GEL-Cumulus 13 Running Shoe

My last four pairs of shoes have been Brooks, averaging about 30 to 35 miles per week, been retiring them at 400 or 450 miles. Decided to try something new this time so bought the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 13. Just breaking them in, but so far I have noticed shin splints going away, the bottom of my feet don't hurt after a long run, and I just ran a half marathon and walked away from the race with a PR feeling GREAT. I'm not a big guy but I am older (50) and only been running seriously for the past three years, so I've suffered with the typical knee, hip, and back issues / injuries. The Cumulus may be an ounce or two heavier than what I was running in, but so far they are much more comfortable and I think the extra cushion is more than worth the extra few ounces. I also like the look of the shoes. I'll try to remember to update this post after I get a few hundred miles on them.

Update: I now have 250+ miles on the shoes. They are holding up well. But to be honest I've switched to a lighter running shoe with a flatter heel for most of my training. I still like these shoes and they still feel like I'm walking/running on pillows. I don't think I would have been able to switch to my current shoes right away I needed the ASICS for training while I broke in the Saucony Kinvara 2's and my legs on the track 1 or 2 days a week. So I'm not changing my rating on the ASICS. What I will say is that if you have many typical knee, hip, back issues / injuries you probably have a choice based on my experience. Use the ASICS with more padding. Or try running in a flatter shoe where you land more on the ball of your feet like the Kinvara.

I'm an underpronator with high arches. These shoes are perfect for someone like me. They're just the right amount of cushioning without loss of control or feeling detached from the running surface. ASICS were a switch after years of wearing New Balance and I'm glad I made it. There's significantly more bang for the buck with the ASICS. I just got back from my first run wearing these and I couldn't be happier.

I am a womens size 7.5 and typically buy my Nike Free shoes in the womens dept. I noticed this youth shoe and tried to look up conversion for the size as I specifically needed this color. I was able to fit into a youth 6.5 and a 7. I bought both pairs as the price was so much less expensive buying these in youth rather than adult womens. They are comfortable and they look great! I have had more compliments than any $100+ shoe I own. I can wear them to the gym, to Disneyland walking all day and still feel like I look good and am comfortable. These shoes are light weight. The only problem is now my son is embarrised becasue his friends all have the same shoes as his mom...(they also paid more in our local sporting goods store too) If anything that should make me cool, right? haha! If you have the chance and can fit into a youth size, try it I never thought it was an option but it saves money and you look good! Oh as far as seller and shipping... Everything went smooth and got them on time and in perfect condition. I recently bought Nike Free Run 2.0 and as soon as I put the shoe on I felt like I was walking on clouds. The shoes felt sensational on the feet and every time I would get up to walk around I couldn't feel anything on my feet. These shoes is comfortable is because the sole forms to the shape of the foot. Whether you are flat footed or have higher arches, the shoe will support the platform of your feet. Not only is the shoe cushioned, but the cushioning is so soft to your because of a special foam. The special cushioning that is used is called memory foam. Memory foam will mold the sole of the shoe to fit your foot type. The shoe is made of material called FlyKnit. FlyKnit adds to the comfortableness because it helps make the shoe durable, flexible, and allows your feet to breathe.

Active shoes are all about comfortableness and how the shoes feel, but usually active shoes are either ugly and comfortable or elegant and uncomfortable, but never both at the same time. As soon as I saw the Free Runs on the shell, I instantly fell in love with the sleekness and looks of the Nike Free Run 2.0. These are the first active shoes that I thought was fashionable. Other shoes like Air Jordan's, Nike Air, or Converse tend to get creased by the toe area because of the bending of the shoe. As for the Nike Free Run 2.0, there are absolutely no crease marks that are made when you bend your feet because the FlyKnit material the material makes the shoe virtually weightless, but unfortunately the FlyKnit material allows the shoe to easily get wet. Usually, some running shoes come in only one and/or two colors. For the Nike Free Run 2.0 not only can you get the shoe is various colors, but it is also possible to get the shoe with customized colors.

The benefit of buying Nike Free Run 2.0 is that it gives you not only comfortableness and sleekness for an affordable and reasonable price. Usually, the price of running shoes can vary from $89.99 $129.99, but for these Free Runs the cost was fairly cheap. It costs around $75 dollars. Considering the comfortableness, wide variety usage of the shoe and the FlyKnit material used, the shoe is fortunately underpriced for all the positive qualities that it contains. The quality of these athletic shoes is long lasting for the price that a purchaser will pay for. Instead of having to buy multiple shoes every few months, the shoes can last at least a year or more when treated properly. All of these positive benefits and only for $75 is such a good price.

Unfortunately, these shoes aren't up to par when compared to the newer versions that have come out in the last year or so. The newer versions of the Nike Free Run collection are more comfortable and stylish. It does, however, cost more than the Nike Free Run 2.0. The cost increase can vary from $20 $40. Also, these shoes should not be used for hiking on a trail. The grip on the Free Runs is unsuccessfully slip resistant. To be on an incline with a dirt road underneath your feet is extremely hard in the Free Runs.

Cheap PUMA Men's Fast Rider Sneaker

There's only one reason you're lookin' at these kicks; it's the soles on them. Okay, maybe it's 'cause you had a pair when they first came out back in the late *seventies* ...but that's what attracted you the first time around; the soles. I had a pair back then.

Up top ...pretty retro-classic running shoe lines with a mix of (mostly) nylon and some suede leather with classic "Puma" logos and wave swoosh. The insoles remind you of how much running shoe technology has evolved in the last 30(!) years; they are comfortable as casual kicks but not the ticket for a modern marathon. Overall a minimal, lightweight and comfortable shoe ...consider these the "speedier" little brother to the Puma EasyRiders. In fact, the FastRider was marketed to lighter runners while the EasyRider tuned more for heavier runners (and this was back before obesity became a national pass time).

But then there's those awesome looking soles covered, from heel to toe, with scads of cone-like cleats; anyway you view them they just look cool. Like the EasyRiders, Puma used a "cone" type of tread (they were competing against Nike's iconic "waffle" soles) only with the FastRider they used smaller cones and mounted them in a V-shaped arrangement; two tread cones are joined at their bases and splayed at an angle as they protrude from the bottom of the shoe. The "science" back then was the splay of the cones would offer greater cushioning (vs. the straight up cone tread of the EasyRiders) by flexing as weight was placed on them. The flex-y tread also gives the soles the ability to conform to uneven terrain providing excellent traction on just about any surface, hard or soft. The cushy foam midsole was part of the system and the shoe "works' as good today as I remember it 30 years ago. As sweet as these vintage treads are to wear today, they also retain their biggest drawback; all that flex-y comfort, cush and traction comes at the price of durability. The soles will wear quickly in the heels since there are no designed-in heel strike areas ...again you're dealing with old shoe technology ...and the sole will be long gone before the uppers are anywhere near worn through; the price one pays for "cool-ness". That's about the only drawback I've experienced. They fit true to size and are comfortably snug on your feet. In addition to just casual wear these shoes, IMHO, make an excellent choice as a very lightweight trail shoe ...perfect for the short day hike on established or improved trails or on more urban all-weather gravel. And be prepared, once you get back to "civilization", to check your feet; the grippy soles *will* pickup and hold small rocks, trail debris and mud.

If you fell in love with these shoes thirty years ago, here's your chance to get re-aquainted. If you were just a gleam in your daddy's eye when these shoes first hit the market, well, check out what was cutting edge 30 years ago. Their mission this time around is casual and light trail duty. Either way these are some sole-full shoes; the look is retro-minimal, the comfort is still there and then ...there are those soles.

If you like what you see, get them!! they're comfy and well made, only thing i'm not crazy about is that they're a little thin around the ankle (i mean the sneakers fabric around the ankle).

These are cute and my daughter loves them, but they have a VERY strong chemical smell! Even 2 months later I can still smell it. They are also kind of difficult for little fingers to put on, and the tongue lines up weird, but she loves them and says they are very comfortable. Very light, which also means not well insulated. Definitely a warm weather shoe. They get dirty easily, too.

The shoe is the most lightweight and flexible that I've ever owned. In addition, I walked for hours a day in them and my feet were able to breathe. I preferred the Wild Dove since I wanted a gym shoe in gray. I highly recommend the product.

I bought these shoes in black to wear to work. I have just started running 5k races and most of the sneakers I have tried to wear have caused over pronation which irritated my knees. I have a torn meniscus in both knees and tend to baby them. I own a different pair of Merrells that I use for running, but I needed a black pair to fit my work unifrorm requirements. I LOVE these shoes! They hold the foot in the correct anatomical position and allow for the foot to move as it should. The light weight and flexibily of the shoe added to the excellent traction and stability of the design make this shoe a winner for every day activities as well as hiking or running. I would definitely purchase more shoes like this!! And as a massage therapist, specializing in sports injuries and deep tissue massage, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND theses shoes! They give just the right amount of support while allowing the foot to use the natural shock absorption of the body without adding addition strain on the accessory muscles, the joints or the body as a whole.
