This is an excellent shoe for trail running. It's comfortable, lightweight and flexible, but still offers good support. Excellent traction as well. The one piece tongue system is very cool, and makes the shoe almost feel like a sock. In fact, this is a shoe that can be worn without socks if you're so inclined.....

I have several different Pearl Izumi shoes, all fit on the small side so I would advise ordering a half size larger than normal.

The Peak II is hands down the best trail shoe I've ever owned.

probably not for someone who needs a lot of support, but if you want a low heel, neutral shoe, I believe its the best around.

Super light weight with a sole and toe tough enough to protect you from rocks and roots on technical trails. Light and fast enough for road running too.

I love them so much that after running in them for a few weeks I ordered two more pair.
