Many people with WIDE feet seem to order New Balance Shoes due to their cut and size options. I have a normal foot; nothing special or remarkable. If you read most of the posts from reviewers you'll discover that they are most likely WIDE foot customers. New Balance has specific shoe styles and descriptions on their website. Each shoe fits a certain style: width, toe box, narrow heel, etc. So you should visit them to make sure the style of shoe fits YOUR foot. I love the shoes. They are a bit showy (blue suede) but not too bad. They are VERY comfortable and the sole is durable and supporting. I purchase a 1/2 size up after reading the reviews. For my feet and for THIS style of NB shoe I should have ordered my TRUE size. I have a bit of room but they are still wearable and comfy. These shoes have a smaller heel and very roomy toe area. If you have wide I can see why you would order up. For normal feet and widths; it seems as if your normal size should be fine.

I have big feet(very wide) and generally where a 13 4E in NB but went with 14 4E. I had a previous NB that had the same last (standard sizing, but narrower in the heal) as this shoe and it felt tight. Turned out well, very comfy. So far it is holding up well.

Nice shoe except,if you need a Wide width shoe forget it!!!! I normally take a 3E width I ordered this shoe in 4E and it was as tight on my foot as a medium width would be. So this shoe is surly not true to width.

At first i was pretty upset when I put these on. They have stitching/material along the seams that was not at all comfy. I decided to give them some off-trail time and wore them to work for a couple days to break them in. Now they fit great and are great on the trail. They look really sharp too.

My husband has lots of nerve pain in his feet and while the shoes don't do anything for the nerve pain. He says they are the most comfortable shoes he has worn in quite some time. He had just been wearing his slippers for several weeks. He is very happy.
