Review of Salomon Women's Rx Snowmoc Ltr Relaxing Recovery Shoe

I have been looking for a previous season's snow clogs from Salomon for about a year now. Unfortunately those are no longer available. I have tried every other brand name slip on water resistant shoe in various sports stores, but none of them were ever as comfortable as the Salomons I had. I finally found these online and ordered them right away. They are a much lower profile than the previous clogs (the sides don't come as high). The shoe actually ends below my ankle. They took me about a day to get used to, but now I am back to order my second pair to wear around the house instead of my slippers. They give excellent support and allowed me to stay on my sprained foot all day for work. I personally think they are a little unattractive, but to my surprise, I have gotten several compliments on them since I got them a few weeks ago. I wish I could give a fair reporting of the size, but I tend to wear a range of sizes between 6.5 and 7.5. I ordered these in 7 which fit me perfectly.

After and extensive look at the offerings for what I wanted: an all day work shoe, I settled on these. Ordered a half size larger, and was delighted that with a fairly thin Smart Sock, they fit perfectly. Love the way they look and feel and they give excellent support for my work-standing on a concrete floor in an art studio all day. Highly recommended!!!

I was really excited about this shoe as I prefer to wear a winter shoe rather than a boot. I'm in and out all day long and love to just slip my shoes on and off. For years I've been wearing winter "Mocs" from other manufacturers, but the treds wear out too soon in my opinion; need to buy a new pair every year. This shoe looked like it would last longer and be great on ice/snow. Unfortunately, I found the style to be cut too low (lower than it seemed to me in the photo). While this does make the shoe easy to get on and off, I'm concerned that on a really snowy day I'll have snow IN the shoe or wet socks at the top of my foot. I wish that portion of the shoe would be just a bit higher, then I would have given these a five star rating and kept them! But since I need these for everyday use in a snowy climate, I decided to return these and bought something similar (bug higher) from another brand.

The first pair of Salomon shoes I ever owned were a previous version of Snowmocs that I bought in 2004. Since then I have purchased about 15 pairs in various styles of walking and trail running shoes, as well as hiking boots. I would like to imagine myself as an avid outdoor adventurer, but the truth is most of the time my Salomon shoes just see the light of urban jungles. Still, these shoes provide support and comfort that I have not found in any other brand of shoes. I do also notice an improved fit in the women's styles than when I have tried men's styles of Salomon or other brands. I have wide feet for a woman, which is why I tried men's sizes in the past. Salomon's womens shoes provide a truer fit for me than even wide women sizes that I have tried in the past.

This particular shoe is no exception. The length and width of the shoe is a good fit. The toe box is a little narrower than other styles of Salomons that I have owned, but not annoyingly so and there is a little give to the shoe so that this tightness improved after wearing them for just a couple of hours. There is a gray wooly fleece lining in the back of the shoe that goes through to the mid-arch, then the lining changes to what feels like a fleece lining like the type that would line a winter jacket. The sole has some traction that looks like it would handle moderately slick snow and ice, and is slightly wider than the heal of the shoe to give more stability.

I think this is a shoe that will keep my feet happy for quite a long time to come!

I am a HUGE Salomon fan! I have 2 pairs of tennis shoes, my snowboots which I love, so I also purchased these.

In all my Salomon items I wear womens us 8 or uk 40. With these I actually ordered an 8.5 being that they were for relaxing. I was pretty disappointed to find that these were too tight. I have done my best to still break them in, it has gotten better, but really not what I expected from Salomon.
