I bought these shoes after getting a pair of ULTRA's The ONE. I not sure if it was the shoe, or if it was not the correct size or the shoe itself. But I developed a nice case of runner's knee with them. So I ditch those shoes and after some research and always wanting to try a pair of Merrell's I bought these. These shoes are great. I have been running Minimalist for about two years now, these shoes hit the mark with everything that I perfer in a minimalist shoe.

1.) It's fairly light as fair as minimalist shoes go, I have had lighter, but I am not going to get picky.

2.) The lacing, and the strap are great, really keep your foot in place when running, or WODing.

3.) The support for the arc of your foot, which is great if your running correctly on your forefoot it is really noticable and probably the best feature about this shoe.

4.) The look, I am not 13 and do not want some wierd crazy colors. The shoe looks good and is basic, I personally like that alot.

I have logged around 40 Miles so far in the two weeks I have had them., they are holding up great. They are also great for Squatting, Deadlifing, Box Jumps. This shoe does it all.

P.S. My knee is still sore from time to time. Slowly these shoes are helping my knee return to normal strength. Great shoe for the POSE running form.

I've been running all of my adult life, +40years. I was a little hesitant to try these shoes at first. I was worried about losing the support and the cushioning that I had in the old-style running shoes. I've been running in them almost daily for several months, now, and have found that my worrying was unfounded. These shoes are great. I wish I had them when I was a younger man. The best feature about these shoes is how lightweight and therefore comfortable they are while running they truly are like being barefoot in that regard. The next best feature is the roomy-ness in the toe box area it saves my toes the discomfort of jamming into the tip of the shoe. If I haven't already said it...I really like these shoes!

I would suggest ordering about 1/2 size smaller than your regular shoe size. These shoes have a ton of room in the toe box area which can lead to some friction and blisters with a lot of movement (CrossFit). Despite these very small issues I absolutely love these shoes and I am considering an order for a couple more pairs. I usually require shoes with lots of padding and cushion because my feet get fatigued and sore. I don't have that problem with these shoes. I feel grounded, stable and in touch with my feet like I never have before. I live and work in Afghanistan with lots of gravel and rough rock and these still perform well throughout the day. I would highly recommend these shoes!!!

I love these shoes... i own a pair of vibram speed's but i just never liked the way they looked you know? Everyone's got their own preference. I love that these shoes have zero drop with the heels, and vibram outsoles. Working out in these has been amazing, i love the arch support from the sole, as well as the strap to keep my feet stable in the shoe while running/ squatting/ deadlifting/ calf raises.

I just wish merrell would come out with more colors of these, like how nike has a ton of color's of their nike free's. I would definitely make these the only shoes i wear to the gym, unless merrell comes out with an even better looking design and more colors
