My son wore this style shoe until literally they don't make his size anymore. I love this shoe. He started wearing it at a size 3 all the way to 6. The smaller sizes didn't require tying as they have a toggle lace. The shoe fit his foot which is considered average though his foot was too wide for sketchers. It was sturdy and a great mud shoe. Easy for my son to get on and off and totally comfortable for him all year round. He was able to run, climb, jump in it and got 'great speed'! I highly recommend this shoe.

One of the few shoes I have gotten for my toddler that has stayed together and fits well! they are light and comfortable and do not fall apart!

We were looking for a tough shoe that could do double-duty of both a casual tennis shoe/play shoe and also an outdoorsy shoe, and we aren't disappointed with the Columbia Daybreakers.
These have a sturdy sole that has good grips but isn't too heavy/rigid. Additionally, the suede/mesh upper is a great combo for durability and breathability. Finally, we like the cinch-up lacing system.
Our only (minor) complaint is that they're a little tough to get on b/c the tongue needs to be longer or have a loop on it (like a lot of adult hiking shoes do) for ease of use. However, this isn't enough of an issue for us to return the shoes or not recommend them.

I ordered these thinking they had a toggle lace closure because I didn't see a tie in the picture. Unfortunately, it was a tie lace so I sent them back. They are attractive and seem sturdy. I wish there was a non-tie option.
