Like many good shoes these are expensive, however they're still worthy of purchasing. They're lightweight like slippers yet have structure; they almost feel like walking on just a pair of insoles.

Like any new kind of shoe they take some getting used to. It took me a few times of only wearing them partially throughout the day in order to break them in.

One thing I recommend, which contradicts what I've read: Buy these shoes in your regular size. Even though they feel tight at first they do eventually stretch and that includes in the length.

Love the shoes. Not much arch support. Sole is a little thin, if you are running/walking on gravel. VERY comfortable, thus the "barefoot" description. They do run a little small, even if barefoot. Order a 1/2 a size up. I am not sorry I ordered them. I wear them everywear for casual footwear days.

Facts and Observations from having these shoes a year:

1) EASE INTO BAREFOOT RUNNING!

This is the case for any barefoot shoe or lack there of. Walk in them for a few days before you start running with them. You will be sore, and it will feel different, even if you're an experienced runner. You might also experience foot craps if you don't take it slow. This can all be avoided if you walk for a few days, then take a couple short runs. Within a week or two you should be up to speed.

2) I recommend NOT wearing socks give your toes full moment. I put baby powder in them every few weeks, but I haven't noticed any bad smells.

3) No rubbing or blisters accept on bottom of the footyour feet need to toughen up if you want to do barefoot running. Only got the blisters twice and then never again! Everything else on this shoe fit perfectly and was clearly designed not to cause blisters.

4) The laces rock! Made with a material that never allows them to unexpectedly come undone. Nice, thoughtful feature.

5) Great arch supportsome would argue it's not true barefooted running with support, but I say, if your arch is collapsing then your not getting the proper experience anyways. If your arch doesn't collapse, you won't even notice the supportif it does collapse, then you need the support and this is the perfect barefoot shoe for you.

6) Great tredgood traction. I feel very comfortable wearing these in slippery conditions. (not rocks, see #8)

7) Little wear and tear noticed after 1 yearI've put about 150 miles in these shoes and they look almost new! Plus, they wash well and dry fast if you get them muddy.

8. THESE ARE NOT TRAIL SHOES! They are fine for the park, but do not take them on trails that are rocky and unevenyou will feel the rocks under your feet and you will get bruises. These also have absolutely ZERO ankle support, it wouldn't be hard to twist an ankle running in these. Stick to pavement, gravel, dirt, the treadmill etc and your be fine.
