A cycling shoe that nicely reflects a period, vintage older black leather style of road shoe. Very well made and nicely designed to transfer all of the pedalling force direct to the bike. The sole is unobtrusive and minimalist and stiff enough to perform as intended yet can be walked on with relative comfort. I would recommend purchasing SPD cleat protectors if you do a lot of walking after/during rides as I tend to do. Unlike so many cycling shoes which give a clunky appearance due to the hook and loop tab closure systems which currently predominate, the All Road II gives a neat and classic look. Purchase a half size larger than your normal size as Pearl Izumi sizes are small. I am a 9.5 I purchased a 10 and it fit perfectly.

These are my first clipless shoes and therefore I have nothing else to compare it.
Looks: Good but not as sleek as other cycling shoes. A bit padded. They don't look cheap and they are well designed.
Size: Use the sizing chart and as with all Pearl Izumi shoes go for at least half a size larger. I wear size 10.5 and this is the 2nd Pearl iZumi size 11 shoes that I have. I was worried they would be too big when I unwrapped them but it turns out they are 'padded'. I have some room to wiggle my toes when cycling.
Feel: A bit slippery to walk with. It takes time to get accustomed to.
Use: Easy to install the cleats. There is enough space to position cleats to your comfort/liking.
Overall good cycling shoes. I just wish they were made of leather as I detest synthetic material. But again, I'm yet to find leather cycling shoes.

Exactly what I was looking for! Not real showy and fancy, but attractive and functional. The shoe fits great, the cleat is recessed enough to walk without too much clacking, and it looks nice enough to walk around in public without getting raised eyebrows. I regularly wear a size 13 running shoe so I ordered a 48 and it fit well.

I bought last year's model of this shoe from Amazon and it was the best cycling shoe I've ever owned for fit. Since I'm riding more, I decided to buy a second pair since I've had such a hard time in the past finding a good shoe. They no longer had my original model but new version 2 was available instead and looked promising. I ordered the exact size of the original All Road I have, but the fit of the new All Road is not the same. It's smaller (tight in the toes). It's still a great shoe but version 2 is noticeably smaller, and they only jump by whole sizes sadly--hence four stars. Why did PI change a great thing?! I need about a half size bigger but it's not an option. Looks like a return and a renewed hunt to find EU shoe sizing that actually fits. Bummer.
