I already ran two marathons (one road and one trail with 2000m~6000ft altitude difference) and more than 500km~350mi in training and these shoes are still holding on.

They're very comfortable and you can feel the reduced shock on impact.

I only use asics the fit my wide feet, provide great support, wear well, are durable, etc... But some models have been more or less solid than others. This model is my favorite so far: the fit is snug, the cushioning excellent.

These shoes are very comfortable and light while still providing good cushioning. The price is very reasonable and the size (10.5 M US) was on target. The color scheme is also what I was looking for. I am very happy with them.

Honest reviews on ASICS Men's GEL-Enduro 7 Running Shoe

I just got the Onyx/Black/Lime pair and got extremely fast delivery from amazon (yay!). When I got them out I stretched them a bit since most Asics are tight and, of course, need to be "burned in" somewhat. Wore them today and they are fantastic! I am sort of an Asics fanatic (I have several different pairs and have purchased them exclusively over the years) and I've really never gotten a pair that I didn't like. I have noticed over the years, presumably to cut costs, the padding is somewhat less than, say, 15-years ago. But I really recommend these. The only gripe I have with the newer Asics is the unnecessary plastic trimmings on their brand (for looks only since it serves no other function). These have some plastic trim but not enough to nix the purchase, and they feel great! I machine wash on gentle cycle my shoes when they get grungy and the Asics hold up very well even after a nice wash. Recommend these for walking or running (I primarily walk because of my back), and they adapt to your feet very well since no persons two feet are exactly proportional due to age, swelling, etc. Good buy...try them out first at a local retailer and then get the best price at amazon.

Edit: Bought my second pair of these since I always like to have two pair of shoes that I really like before they aren't manufactured anymore. The excellent review above stands. Nice to have extra and nice price after coupon(s) (Bing). Spare pair...

This is a basic trail running shoe with a neutral platform it provides cushioning and no added devices for pronation control (such as a medial post). As a wearer of orthotics, my podiatrist recommended I go with a neutral shoe so as not to interfere with the work that the orthotic is doing (i.e., too much control in addition to the orthotic is likely to cause problems). I do a lot of outdoor activities so I wanted something that could be used off-road on rugged terrain. I have had the Enduro 6 in the past and liked them, so I decided to try this model. I actually showed them to my podiatrist during my appointment and she gave them a thumbs-up as a well-built and supportive neutral shoe.

I have been very pleased with the Enduro 7. I like the wide midfoot base, which provides sufficient room to fit an orthotic without crowding my feet. I also like the toe box design. The predecessor version (Enduro 6) had a narrower profile and felt like it crowded my toes a bit. This version has a rounder, wider front which increases the comfort level. The laces on this version were a bit short but I replaced them with some hiking boot laces which gave me a firm snug feel. Cushioning-wise, like all Asics I have owned these seem great. Most other brands don't seem to put as much cushioning technology into their lower or mid-priced models (Saucony being an exception). As a walker/hiker I find that the level of cushioning here is just right for me. Finally I like the design of the shoes, they are sleek and modern but not over-the-top. Typically how a shoe looks is the last thing I care about (performance is pretty much all that really matters to me) but so many new styles of athletic shoes look like somebody scribbled on them with hi-liters that I appreciate an understated style.

If you are an overpronator this shoe might not be for you without an added orthotic. Also, I cannot attest to their performance for running since I don't use them for that. However, if you're looking for a solid and affordable trail shoe for walking on somewhat rough terrain, I can give this one a solid recommendation.
