Note: if you aren't used to running in minimalist/barefoot style shoes, you MUST ease into it. If you go from regular running shoes to minimalist ones, you can't bust out your usual runs right away and you may hurt yourself. I've been running in minimalist shoes for a couple of years now and this review is based on that.

When I first heard of the Skechers Go Bionic running shoes I thought "are you kidding me? Skechers made a running shoe??" But the reviews I read all pretty much glowed about the shoes, so I decided to give them a shot. After my last pair of minimalist shoes wore out I haven't had much luck finding another good pair that I really loved.

Well, these fit the bill perfectly. I ordered based on the sizing chart and the shoes fit true to size. My feet are normal (neither wide nor narrow) so I don't know how they would work for someone with very wide or narrow feet, but they fit very well for me.

And I gotta say that these shoes are hands down the most comfortable things I've ever slipped my feet into, bar none. They're light as a feather and you hardly notice them at all. I wear them around all the time, not just for running. And they performed beautifully on my runs. They give just enough protection for my feet from glass and rocks and other fun things that might be found on a sidewalk, while not getting in the way of my feet doing what feet should on a run. Very very pleased. I especially love that the tongue of the shoe is super thin, not padded and bulky like so many shoes are. That's often an issue for me because the shoe tends to compress the top of my foot no matter how lightly I lace the shoes. Not here.

I wondered how minimalist these shoes would actually be because the side of the shoes in the picture looks like it has some serious arch support but that isn't the case. That's just on the exterior of the shoe; the interior is what you would expect of a minimalist shoe.

And compared to so many running shoes, the price is amazingabout half of what I have generally paid for my running shoes. So yeahno complaints here at all. I highly recommend these shoes.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They fit so well on my wide feet. They are super light and cute as well.
