At the store, I tried on the Sprint, size 39. They seemed a little snug in the toe, but the sales person that is how they are supposed to fit, little snug, but not tight. They seemed comfortable enough and not knowing what they were supposed to feel like, I bought them. I went home and then went for a 20 minute, slow-average walk. I am not an athelete by any stretch of the imagination, but I wanted to break them in a little. About half way into the walk, I started to feel some pain in the bottom of the heel of my foot and on the bottom of my big toe. Of course, I was 10 minutes from home, so it took another 10 to get back. These blisters were at the bottom of my foot, not the backs or sides, where blisters normally occur on new shoes. By the time I got home, I had large (2 inches) on the bottom of both of my heels and 1/2 inch on each big toe. It hurt so much to walk! Plus, my toe area got tighter as I walked, going from a little snug to tight.
On the plus side, I had to start jogging on this walk home (lightly), because my heals hurt so much, I couldn't stand the impact of them on the ground. I am not a runner, jogger, or speed walker. I found for the several blocks I jogged, it was fairly easy (minus where the blisters hurt), so I knew this type of shoe had potential.
I called the store and luckily they had a great return policy. I went back the next day, sore feet and all, and tried on the Classics (too loose, felt like they would fall off without straps and inside felt like the Sprints, the Trek Sport (nicer, more solid shoe than Sprint and Classic, still had some rubbing on inside), the Bikila (same weight and feel as the Trek, but slightly better interior than the previous mentioned) and Komodo Sport and Komodo Sport LS (which were more solid than all the previous with a much better interior).
I walked around in the store in each pair and realized that in the Sprint and Classics, where the seams come together, the company left that exposed. This caused rubbing. Compared to the other shoes, this was more cheaply built. Where the bed lining and sides coming together, it wasn't smooth. In the toe area, there were similar seams, but a lot more of them. Also, in the Sprint, I needed a size up, a 40, where as the other styles, I needed a 39.
As I moved up in price range, the seams were less and less noticeable. With the Bikila's, they were fairly seamless in feel and I didn't seem to notice the blisters on the bottom of my feet when I walked as much. When I put on the Komodo Sports, the shoe was much more solid and I can honestly say, that I didn't even feel the blisters on my feet when I walked (which I did feel when I walked barefoot!). Between the two types of Komodos, I have to say I like the regular Sports better than the LS. The strap on the LS didn't give me the ability to tighten as well around my arch (I have slightly higher arches).
The Bikila's felt more like barefoot walking. It is a less substantial shoe, as compared to the Komodo's, but more substantial than the lower priced styles. The Treks were more substantial, but I notice there was a little more rubbing (very mild difference, although these cost more than Bikila's). When I say substantial, you really have to just try them on to understand. There isn't a huge difference, but a noticeable difference between the styles. Just put one on each foot and compare. If I didn't already have blisters on my feet, I might have gone with the Bikila's. But since my feet where so sensitive at this point, the Komodo's were my choice. It doesn't feel quite as much like barefoot walking, but it is still awfully close! I spent the day wearing these and have not noticed a single sore or pain. My blisters even feel better in them, than out of them! And as of today anyway, no back pain! I will update as time goes on...
Of course, this is just all my opinion and my experiences. The best thing is to go and try them on! You can then order them online if you want. Make sure though that you are getting authentic Vibram's. Visit their website to learn how to identify fakes. Obviously, everthing I just wrote won't matter if they aren't authentic Vibrams. Not all the retailers selling on Amazon are listed as authorized retailers of these shoes, so careful!

From the minute you slide these shoes on it is sheer bliss. I had purchased the classic style of Vibram Five Fingers for women and loved the feel. Somehow these are even more amazing! I have never felt like I have had such strong support from such a light weight shoe. I will probably never run, walk, lift, etc... with regular tennis shoes again. Your foot does not slide forward while holding difficult positions, lack the right amount of arch,etc... Also, these shoes are constructed of such high quality products that you can't go wrong. This is not the first pair I have bought nor will they be the last! Treat your feet to greatness!Best Deals on KomodoSport Shoe - Women's by Vibram FiveFingers
Yes, these shoes do qualify as sports shoes. They are incredibly comfortable, and I didn't take them off for hours after I put them on. I literally felt as if I were wearing sock shoes. The rubber tip toe protection is great and the sole has amazing grips, so these would be the ideal beach running shoes and grocery shopping shoes etc. However, since regular socks do not work with these, my feet got wet as soon as they touched moisture, and being cold in these is no fun. As long as the surrounding environment is dry, these shoes are wonderful. If you live in a place that is ever wet, I would rethink purchasing these shoes as everyday go-tos and go with some that aren't as water soluble. Vibram is an amazing product line, however, customers must be as specific as the shoes they are ordering are.Honest reviews on KomodoSport Shoe - Women's by Vibram FiveFingers
I own a number of barefoot shoes and each one is better than another for one specific thing. The KomodoSport is my favorite for running on pavement. the tread on the bottom is circular which makes it best for pivoting and sprinting, but it is NOT the best for traction on something slick like a wet rock. I have slipped in these on a slick grocery store floor. I like them best though for fit because they are stretchier than the bikila and the trek but they don't loose their elasticity.
They're very similar to the KSOs i think however the KSOs are SOOOO hard to get over my arches. It's a good alternative if you've had this problem too.
They don't dry very quickly and sand can get in them pretty easily but they clean off well in the washing machine.
I wear mine for an hour run every day and often during the entire day for work/errands, they are still very bright and colorful.
Caution, they will smell. Try stuffing newspaper in them to help them dry out quicker so they don't smell like mildew.
I use the sports balls for your shoes and it works perfectly against odor.
If you are looking for something easy to slip on, try the classic, don't buy this shoe.
If you are looking for a VFF for trail running or for slicker surfaces, running on ice during the winter: get the trek.
If you want something low profile which people won't notice, go for Merrell gloves I prefer VFF to Merrell because Merrell has always given me blisters when I run.

I bought these at a BOGO sale locally. I bought this pair, a Bikila, a KomondoSport LS, a Jaya, and a TrekSport(see my other reviews on those). This shoe is sized accurately to width and length. I wear a solid 41 in EU size(look on the tounge of your favorite athletic shoe in the EU section for this number). The ankle portion on this shoe seems to sit lower than my others, and I happen to have skinny feet, so this model fits very loosely material wise around my ankle. However, the 2 straps surrounding the opening allow me to tighten them so that they fit snugly.
I like the tread on this shoe. It is a good, solid all terrain design.
I like the removable insoles with a bit extra cushion(this makes it a good beginner Vibram minimalist shoe).
I like the colors & the mesh ports here & there for breath ability.
Dual Velcro adjustment tabs to dial in fit.
Cons:
They could be hot as they have a heavier material on the uppers.
Loose collar material(my skinny feet).
A bit more sole to them.
These would be your true cross trainer/everything type shoe. If you are looking for a good first pair of "barefoot" shoes to try, these would be the ones. Running, jumping, walking, hiking, lifting, cross fit, p90x, indoors, outdoors, etc.
Out of the 5 pairs of VFFs I have, these are my second favorite(first is the LS model of these, as the ankle material isn't an issue since it has lace cords with a tounge as opposed to this model with a solid ankle opening that clinches closer by way of strapping.
A note on fitting the odd toes....
I have a second toe that is longer than my first, by alot actually. In every other shoe I own, this causes me to need to size up a half size in US(so one number in EU). VFFs are no different. My other toes might have a little extra room to move in the ends but this is my normal mode of operating so my feet are used to it. This causes me no issues in these shoes.
VFF has sizing info on their website about measuring your feet to the correct sizing. It's pretty spot on. Just measure your longest toe(which might not always be your big toe!)
