I bought a pair very close to this model in 2001 and am just now having to replace them. I've worn them every summer since and haven't seen anything close to as comfortable anywhere. They may be a bit heavier than cheap flips, but it's because they are way more comfortable and durable. I've worn mine every summer to the beach, pool in and out of the water and they've gone 11+ years. I told my 10 year old son the other day my shoes were older than him. The straps are even still fine, the only reason I am even considering replacing them is because the sole started to seperate some from the footbed on the right flip flop. I could probably glue them and have them last me another few years. The straps are still more than in solid shape. These may be expensive for flips, but they will last a long time and most likely be worth your investment (if their products are still being made as solid as they were 10+ years ago).

these things are awesome. they have heft to them and feel very durable as well as being comfortable. Haven't had a chance to get them wet yet and can't hardly wait to either.

Good quality flip flops, but they are heavy shoes, which was unexpected. Would recommend only if you're prepared for the shoes to weigh heavy on your feet.
