I'm very happy with purchase. I wanted 3 thingscomfort, efficient and easy to walk in. SH-XC60 delivers on all three! Minor hot spots come and go, depends on many variables. I think hotter weather brings it on. Hence the 4 stars not 5.
PROS
Walking / Comfortable/ Quick & easy to get in and out. / Very good closure-straps & buckles/ Grease wipes right off.
CONS
minor hotspots(not sure if minor hotspots can be avoided in any shoes)

This is my second try at Shimano so called wide shoes. They are to narrow in the toe box! This pair worse than the first. I am replacing an older Shimano wide shoe so I know they have made wide shoes in the past. Why can't sizes be consistent?

I have a pair of SIDI dominator and I was gettingsevere hot spots. I was looking for something with eqaul fit but no hot spot. I got this Shimano and unfortunately, the fit was no where colse to the SIDI dominator. I am staying with my SIDI for now until I come across something better

These shoes are light, rigid and look great, however, Shimano sizing seems to be very inconsistant. I have 2 other pairs of Shimano cycling shoes. All are size 47. The M162's fit fine, a little large but very comfortable. The SH-MW81 winter shoes are tight, much smaller than the M162's and these (SH-XC60) are way too big. I wear them with heavier socks...I guess I shouldn't buy shoes on line but there are no bike shops in this area with any good selection of quality shoes.

The shoes came with scraches and appears like I bought something USED, and it said that the shoes was NEW. Never expected this from shimano.
