I've worn Salomon Synapses for day-hiking for over a year. While preparing for a long distance hike, I tried other hiking shoes and trail runners but found the Synapses were still my favorites for comfort and support. The purple Synapses replace my original pair, served me well for a 150-mile-plus wilderness trek and are in good shape to keep on hiking.

I got these because I do a lot of walking at after 12 hours when I take my shoes off my feet are in pain. These do not really stop my foot pain but they are not as painfully. The fit is a little larger (1/2 size) the style is great and so are the colors.

I love Salomon shoes. They hug your feet for great support. I can feel the arch support and I have high arches. Never a break in period, always comfortable. Plus, I get lots of compliments on the color.
